  1. Your post reminded me alot to my own situation. Your face is still getting used to the BP, It took my face like 2 months! But now, I'm past month 4 in Dans regimen, and I don't break out at all anymore. I find it unbelievable that I can eat whatever I want, sometimes skip my regimen, and still not break out at all. Trust me, once your skin settles down it gets much easier. Don't give up.
  2. I try to sleep on my back at all times. What else can you really do?
  3. The less you eat the better. Bottom line.
  4. It could be.. my derm told me that moisturizers are a cause of acne. I'm not sure what to believe, he is a doctor though...
  5. I take a vitamin E supplement daily and I'm not too sure if its having any effect at all. Im pretty sure it wouldn't break you out if you tried it. Vitamin E is a very powerful antioxidant so Im sure it couldnt hurt.
  6. Retin-A and BP was what got me the clearest I ever had gotten. What I did was use BP in the morning and Retin-A at night. Ive heard that Retin-A and BP counteract each other so I think 30 mins apart would be no good. If you just starting the retin-a i recommend you start super slow and get used to it.
  7. I had flakiness and dryness up until about 7 weeks in the regimen, its finally starting to not peel burn at all. The dryness is just a phase you have to work through, your skin will eventually acclimate.
  8. I havent tried it, but I know vitamin E is good for the skin, and it couldnt hurt. Try it and let us know!
  9. I find that using AHA every other day works well too, and is great for working up to using every day.
  10. Good to see your starting the regimen. I would recommend you get Dans BP because of the value and superiority to other 2.5% BP's. Your gonna get alot of different answers on which moisturizers work best, so i recommend you do your research. I personally like Complex 15 moisturizer, and Cetaphil face moisturizer if im going out in the sun. Jojoba oil is very nice, its feels very good and moisturizes nicely, a little goes a long way also. For AHA, I would recommend getting it after all your active
  11. Ive been on Beta-Carotene supplements for about 3 weeks now. I think its doing its job cumulatively with good diet, exercise and hygiene. Give it a try, it certainly cant hurt.
  12. Has anyone experimented with ice spot treatment? I know ice reduces inflammation, but to what extent with acne?
  13. You can eat whatever you want. I wouldnt eat french fries just because there terrible for you in general.
  14. Try getting him to drink herbal teas like green and oolong. That might quell his tongue problem. Like the others said, brushing wont hurt either.
