  1. I can not, in good conscience, recommend any type of TCA product other than what I used, nor tell you a method of how to use it. This is because I do not know the strength, quality, pH, etc. of your product. I used the TCA Cross from Perfect Complexion, sold by Julie, and had good success with her product. I used them for icepick scars - NOT enlarged pores. Better results on the nose than on the cheeks - I think this is because the skin on the nose does not move as much as on the cheeks, so it
  2. Hi spottedflutegirl! Did you use the neutralizer that is part of Julie's tca cross kit?? yup. shook it up, since it settled, and applied away. The more I applied after crossing, the longer the scabs lasted - these are on for 8 days, usually they lasted 6.... As for my nose...that's done - after 2 times, they healed up GREAT! But they were small, and I was veeeery careful applying the TCA. Hi y'all, I just wanted to update you on the status of my TCA Cross. I have done what will
  3. So is this TCA Cross as simple as it seems? Did you do anything to your nose before applying the TCA to it? Or is it as simple as dipping a toothpick into solution and then putting it into an icepick scar, letting it frost over and scab up, letting the scab fall off and then repeating until satisfied with results? jimhouse, Yes, in that the process of applying is simple.... but the TCA acid is very strong, and I would reccomend anyone who is considering crossing to find out as much abou

  5. I'd like to suggest reviva labs 5% and 10% glycolic cream, and their glycolic cleanser and toner. I always had acne, and it that stuff helped me even more that retin-a (argh! I hated that stuff!) and diffren (sp?), which my derm. perscribed. Although, that was about 8 years ago..how time flies! I use the reviva glycolic products, and I haven't gotten anymore cyctic acne. THANK GOODNESS! And, my skin looks "glowy". I get it from vitacost.com.
  6. Hey Iriska, Sorry it's taken me so long to respond! I've crossed 3 more times since my above post (cheeks twice, nose once more) and I have to say that I think it was the way I was appplying the solution. Once I did it the first time, I got a little more confident, and leave the toothpick in the hole for 3 seconds, instead of the press-remove thing I was doing before. I have scabbed up the last 3 times, and I have improved (see my response to boomers comment about Julie). Even the first ti
  7. hey boomers would you recommend anyone else then? to give us an alternative? i bought mine from her and she seems pretty honest and upfront with my purchase... would like to know more about how you came to this conclusion :) I just wanted to add my two cents to this... I have used the tca cross I bought from Julie for 3 sessions on my scars, even on my nose. I didn't think anything would fix them, but I am on my way. My nose shows the most improvement, i think because the scars were s
  8. hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know how my first cross is progressing. I applied on 7/1 and 7/2 (the second round on different spots, after I determined that I wasn't going to react poorly.) I used the cross treatment from perfect complexion and applied with the wooden applicators, pressing on the spot, counting to 3, and then removing applicator. Immediatly, the spots began to frost and sting. Stinging went away after 10 minutes. Applied neosporin just to the spots. Next day, sligh
  9. hey nate, Yeah, I tried my first cross on spots that looked just like that on July 1, and I do think it will work for you. Mine have started to look a little smaller, after just the first time... :)
  10. oohh....I got my cross kit in the mail today. I can't wait to try it. And as much as I want to do my whole face, I'm just going to try a few spots, first. I've got my gentle cleansers, antibiotic ointment, antioxident serum and sunscreen all for the "post-op". And...I'm off of work through the 7th, so I'll have a few days at home to get the makeup just right on them. If I can get before and after pics to come out, I'll post those, too.
  11. oh, I just had an idea...if it's raised scar tissue, right...can't you treat it with those silicone scar strips? I've done that with old chicken pox scars, and they have smoothed out. I don't think you could hurt anything by trying.
  12. hey, are they like little white scars, where you used to have acne? Like pin sized, but white and raised? I couldn't tell from the pics for sure. My DH has those, from cystic bacne, that he never had treated. I can tell you they do get better over time...his has faded. I never noticed it in the early days, even while we were, *ahem*, cuddling. good luck!
  13. I bought it from Julie based on the feedback I have heard from this board and other forums I have seen. I am an eBay junkie and had purchased some TCA before and had a bad experience. It was for my back with a lower concentration. To make a long story short, I think it was worth the extra money to go with Julie. She included instructions which I felt were very helpful. She said you could put the picks in warm water to make them softer which allows more TCA to be absorbed. (she didn't recommend
  14. Hey y'all, Like whosdady, I've been lurking, wow, thank you everyone for posting. thought I would never be able to get rid of my scars, but now I think there might be some hope out there… I'm going to try doing the TCA Cross. But I would really like some help from everyone, because I don't want to make my face worse. (ha!) jay7 and eyeboy, I'm taking hope from your stories... Sooo…here are my questions… 1.) I see a couple of you have tried the TCA Cross from Julie Robins - that's what
