  1. Ohhh man, I hope not. Without caffeine, I'd be a vegetable. But maybe that's not a bad thing. I mean, have YOU ever seen a cucumber with acne?

LOL I don't know what you look like, but I'm looking at your screen name and I'm laughing at the thought of you with some buddies & raising your index finger and going, "Excuse me waiter, would you kindly recommend a gluten-free and lactose-free dish? I would delighted if the establishment offered a dish made without yeast" (especially in a British accent...).   3. GODDAMN IT. DAMN IT TO HELL. I don't care if I GO to hell swearing like this, I can only hope my acne will burn off down there. After a week of eating veggies, flaxseeds, omega eggs, fruits, wild salmon and nuts, I BLEW MY PROGRESS. I came home pissy and hungry & discovered that there were no clean dishes left (yess, my room mates and I are lazy like that) and I didn't feel like washing dishes or even preparing a salad. And fuck fruit, the thought of eating a watery apple pissed me off
  4. OMG I HEAR YOU. I mean, yes, I know it's mind over platter, but it sure does suck to have to practically live in a bubble. I mean, I know it sucks for me when I'm with my friends & they get to stop at In N Out Burger while I pull out soggy ziplock bags of grapes and carrot sticks. Or if I've eaten all my snacks while I'm running around & search every store aimlessly in search of SOMETHING "acne friendly" I can eat. Then if I eat like ONE M&M my face gets greasy & icky INSTANT
  5. I make *sure* to eat lots of fiber - and when I eat meat & eggs, I end up... constipated, regardless of my water and fiber intake. I'm Asian Indian, Italian, German, and just a teeny bit Japanese. I'm going to check out the metabolic typing concept. According to the blood type diet, I should be like, Protein Woman, being a Type O+. Its easy to overestimate the amount of fiber your eating on this kind of diet. You really have to eat a ton of leafy vegetables, root vegetables, and nuts
  6. I find it weird, too. Especially since, on carby foods, I'd lose weight at 2200 calories! As for ratios, I have no clue; I consume proteins in the form of eggs, fish, almonds & seeds. I use additional oils (olive, coconut) with a light hand. So I would think that I have a moderate protein to fat ratio.

  8. I have his book! (What's up w/ the girl on the cover?) Basically, all he really advocates for acne victims is a low GI diet - organic, and whole as possible. That's it. He also lists a million vitamins & nutrients that have been shown to be helpful, but the general consensus of the book is to not eat anything that will spike your blood sugar.
  9. I don't get it; I used to live off of sugar, junk food, pasta, etc. NO meat, dairy or eggs, and I was around 127 lbs (5'10, female). I probably ate 2000-2400 cals a day. I used to walk home from work (15 minutes) But b/c of my face, I HAD to change my diet. So now, I eat eggs, olive/coconut oil in moderation, veggies (no potatos), fruits, salmon, almonds and seeds.   11. I know you were asking Danny, but I thought I could offer some input. I hear that if you abstain COMPLETELY from sugar (even carrots!), by the fifth day, you won't even miss it. Now if you were to drop the junk food habits but you still ate natural sugars (apples, carrots, etc), your palate should supposedly adjust by a month. I usually lose my taste for sugar within days; I know you said you're an emotional eater, but with me, I cheat b/c few cheap, acceptable foods are readily available,
  12. Absolutely. Once, I was vacationing in the tropics, ate one serving of some very delicious, region-specific fruit, and then I was told that it was a powerful laxative. That was a great day spent in the loo . Not watermelon, I imagine, right?

  15. Duh to much sugars is bad for u ^^ I don't eat sugars anymore well fruits has sugars but is fruit I am glad is helping u I admit, I'm a fruit fiend. I mean, if I had to nix fruit, I really *would* be going completely insane.
