  1. I'd love something simple like that too! The only BP Cleanser I've even seen is the one from Clean and Clear that's loaded with menthol and irritates the hell out of my skin. If it was just the same cream without the menthol I would probably love it though, because once the redness goes down my skin looks really nice and clear. If you find one let me know!
  2. I'll check this out. I'm desperately looking for a suncreen I can use because I've been burning like crazy for the last two months. I'm very fair and I have very small pores, so products don't absorb into my skin well. I also thought the Neutrogena "Ultra Sheer" sunscreen felt greasy, just like every other sunscreen. I've tried sunscreens by Clinique, Aveeno, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, Bullfrog, Coppertone, and even the moisturizer with SPF that Proactiv makes and they all made my skin feel like it w
  3. I'm not really looking for a product in particular, but seriously, every product I've ever used has had some kind of warning on it. BP and SA dry your skin out. Moisturizers can clog your pores and break you out. Sunscreens can burn (me) worse than the sun does. Is there anything you can put on your skin that's just 'good' for it? That doesn't have to do some weird sort of damage?
  4. I'm taking 80mg of accutane, and I'm almost in my 4th month. I'm also washing with a Salicylic Acid cleanser followed by a Benzoyl Peroxide cleaner as per this regimen and I'm still breaking out! I'm still getting new pimples daily. Before accutane, I was on Doxycycline, Retin-A, Duac, Pro-Active, Sulfer creams, Dan's Regimen, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin C, Urea, Facials, 30% Salicylic Acid peels, Glycolic acid, and many, many other Salicylic and Benzoyl Peroxide products. I've been fighting thi
  5. Before you try anything expensive, you might want to try the basics: Aloe Vera. Fruit of the Earth makes a great bottle of that's like 99% pure Aloe, the other 1% being Vitamin E and a few preservatives. It's also only about $4.50, and you can find it at K-Mart, Target, Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, etc.
  6. there are tons that 'should', like eucerin redness relief, but they haven't worked for me. I have ultra-white skin though, so any kind of redness on me looks like I was stranded on an island for a year with no sunscreen. There is also a product called Noredol that is supposed to work really well, but I haven't personally tried it yet. Hopefully someone else has some better suggestions
  7. I'm now sure. The 'line' is new (made by Neutrogena), but it seems to be more Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide products - so I'm not really sure if it's actually 'new' other than the package. Give it a try though! Salicylic and BP are good stuff!
  8. I'm taking Sotret, and my derm. just upped my dose from 40mg to 60mg, so I'm taking one 40mg on day 1, and two 40mgs on day 2 (rinse and repeat). Anyway, my life is just easier if I take the pills for the week out of the packets and put them into a pill box - that way I don't forget how many I need to take on a given day. However, the information for Sotret says not to remove them from the packaging. Why not? Does it actually damage the pill, or are they just trying to keep people super organi
  9. I'm wearing my contacts while taking accutane. Before I started accutane I couldn't even tell I had them in, but now that I'm on it they get dry after a few hours. I've started using some saline drops while I have the contacts in and that has actually made them feel even better than they did before I started accutane. You can ask your optometrist what brand s/he recommends, but I think any regular saline will work. You can also use the liquid you store the contacts in as eye drops while you're
  10. I'm looking forward to saying this as well! I'm 2 months in right now and so far so good, but I've been taking a low dose (40mg) I think I might ask to go higher though, because I haven't gotten any of the dryness and I'm still breaking out a bit. So glad to hear that it worked out for you! Not only has accutane helped your skin, but your success is encouraging to the rest of us too!
  11. There are literally THOUSANDS of places that will tell me what NOT to eat, but what SHOULD I eat? I've had a weight problem my entire life, and it's been a struggle to find help for it because I'm not overweight - I'm underweight. I'm not anorexic, I'm not bulimic, I don't 'try' to be this skinny, I just am. Anyway, my point is that I've tried high-fat diets in an attempt to gain some healthy weight, and all I seem to get is more acne and a stomach ache. What healthy (as in naturally healthy
  12. I can see you're very happy that your penis is fully functioning - Congratulations! However, we're not talking about you. no one cares. Have a nice day. :wavey:
  13. It's nice to have friends, isn't it? ;) I meant every word of it. I can imagine how bad you've felt these last years, but I also know how good you can feel in an instant once you start getting the right people in your life - acne scars or not! All you need to feel better are friends, and if I can be a part of such a simple cure for you then I'm there. I know you may not feel like you're an interesting person, but you seem very different from my perspective. I see a lot of potential; some alr
  14. I do when I'm hanging out with friends, then every once in awhile I'll get one on my smile line and then every time I laugh it hurts. Great irony there! But even when I know I've got acne it doesn't bother me so much anymore. It used to drive me insane though.
