  1. I didn't scar at all, but my derm said she can't guarantee they won't come back. So far, so good.
  2. My Derm electro-cauterized my hyperplasia spots and it seemed to do the trick. About $100 for 5 spots. I've not heard of any sort of laser treatment for this condition, so your post interested me. Did it hurt? Getting them electrocuted didn't feel great but it was nice to get those buggers off my nose! Hope this helps, good luck to you!
  3. I had a micro-laser peel, (very similar to pixel, I believe) and I was told to stop my retinoid treatment 5 days before the procedure and wait 1 week to start it up again. Hope this helps!
  4. Oh yeah, way better! You look great, just be careful with any sunlight. I was never careful in the sun in my younger days and now it's haunting me. I feel like this procedure is giving us a second chance to really take care of our skin! Lookin' good, Lady!
  5. Try to grin and bear it. My skin was coming off like crazy when I washed my face. (only gently with fingertips and cetaphil/water) I "helped" it along a little, but they tell you to try and not do it. I bet you'll be ok by the day you have to work. Maybe bump up your face washing a couple more times a day and see where this gets you! I only had a trace amount of brown peely skin on the outlining areas of my face, the laser marks will be off there very soon!
  6. Hey mspixel, I felt the exact same way: bored. Luckily my best friend hung out the first couple days- those were the worst. Instead of painting, I cleaned my house from top to bottom. I don't know why I didn't want anyone else to know about my procedure- it's feels shameful and embarrassing to me for some reason and it shouldn't! You will be surprised at how fast that old, dead skin will peel off and you'll look like your old self again. I took 5 days off from work, I think I could have do
  7. I think the Obagi system has been by far the most effective on my discoloration and blackheads. Expensive (but I purchased the system in Jan and only ran out of the "clear" so far- you only use a tiny amount of all the products) and it's a bit of a hassle (5 steps), but skin has really improved on it.
  8. I cleared up my body acne significantly soaking in Epsom salts baths and it worked really fast. Hope this helps!
  9. I just did the same thing today! I love my derm!
  10. That looks like what I had burnt off my nose today. My derm called it sebaceous hyperplasia. She used an electrode-type thing and burnt them off! Her assistant said she had the similar thing done and was very pleased with the results so I went for it. It smelled like burning skin for a while but now the areas she treated are just a little puffy- I even went to class less than an hour after she treated me. She did a few on my nose, one beside my nose and two above an eyebrow. They billed my i
