  1. i so agree with what she says. i would absolutely date someone with acne, or any other physical issue for that matter. if someone wouldn't love someone anymore because of how they look, then that's not real love anyway..... so i wouldn't need it in my life. i want people around who love me unconditionally, or i don't need them because it was never real. i know we all have a tendency to think that the whole world is into looks, so we need to fit into that beautiful category... and maybe a lo

  7. I've always wondered how much of an effect someone's genes REALLY had on their acne... and if a parents past skin issues are any real indication of what to expect. I know it can be genetic, but to what point? Anyway... I'm curious... so please take a second to answer my little poll. Please

  9. I just thought an IM buddy might be pretty nice for moral support and what not. Anywho... if so just let me know My screen name is LaLaLa0357
  10. I hate them all, especially the 1 with Vanessa Hudgens and her line - "Getting rid of my breakouts is as easy as washing my face" Oh really?? Hmm... why haven't I tried that one? Thank you Vanessa. It makes me sooo mad because the average acne free person probably sees that, then looks at people like me like I don't wash my face. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
  11. Thanks so much for all your advice and stories I'm thinking I'll give my newest regimen a few more weeks, and if I'm still dealing with this then it's time to try the Accutane. I read a review from someone with similar skin to mine, and they said that accutane made them develop cystic acne that they NEVER had before.... and then the accutane cleared it up, with the lovely side effect of deep scars. That scares me a bit... but I know other people dont have this problem... so we'll see. I'm
  12. I like it cause its exactly how I feel, but ends on a hopeful note http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nL6hmLvaLcQ I was so unique Now I feel skin deep I count on the make-up to cover it all Crying myself to sleep cause I cannot keep their attention I thought I could be strong But it's killing me Does someone hear my cry? I'm dying for new life [Chorus] I want to be beautiful Make you stand in awe Look inside my heart, and be amazed I want to hear you say Who I am is quite enough Just want to be
  13. Hi.. Like everyone else, I've tried a million products. My acne is what most would consider moderate, but it's PERSISTENT At any given moment, I'd say I have about 10 - 15 pimples that are, of course, immedietly replaced by new ones as soon as they start to fade. They are NOT the deep, cystic kind though, at least not usually. I may get 2 or 3 cystic ones, but for the most part I have the jumbo pimples with large whiteheads on the end. The kind that are sooo tempting to pop! Anywhooo
  14. I've had many. It feels different for everyone... what are you feeling?

  16. If you leave it they can get really irritated, but it's not something that you can properly do yourself. You should go to a professional. Ask a derm. or aesthetician.
  17. I actually disagree. I think it works better if you use it every other night, and it's NOT a good idea to just spot treat. That defeats the purpose of this stuff. It even says it on their web site. I guess everyone's different though
  18. You shouldn't rag your friend too much for that. You don't know what's going through her head. Sounds a little BDD to me as well. As for you, I dunno... I'm still working on that one myself. Piroshky's advice was pretty much right on though.
  19. i actually had the best results with retin-a when using it every other day.
  20. definitely. low self-esteem is rough. i feel that way a lot too.
  21. The biggest mistake you can make with the Retin-A is using more than a pea size amount. More doesn't equal more effective with this stuff.. quite the opposite actually. More is way too hard on your skin and won't give you the results you want. Take a pea size amount and then dab a little from it on your forehead, each cheek, and your chin.. then rub it in from there. It doesn't feel like enough but it is. Trust me... you don't want to over do this stuff. Oh, by the way.. even with a few sp
  22. there is no cure for rosacea in the same way there's no cure for acne... but there ARE ways to control it. yes, some people have more success than others, but just because yours might not be under control is no reason to think everyone else just has to deal with it forever. sheesh. i know you think you're being realistic, but it just sounds negative to me.
  23. Honestly, I don't know of any that won't break you out. Conditioner is a pretty bad acne offender. I was told by my derm. that it's crucial to make sure you wash it ALL out really well, so a leave in would make me nervous. You can use jojoba oil to soften hair. A lot of people add a bit to their regular conditioner. Honestly, I don't know of any that won't break you out. Conditioner is a pretty bad acne offender.
