  1. Sounds like it might work. I know that plain yogurt it supposed to work as a mask (and actually, I use it on a regular basis with not-too-shabby results) so plain milk seems like it would work in the same way. It's worth a shot, if you have sensitive skin it might make your skin a little red or irritated (mostly from the lemon, I've found that using yogurt actually makes my skin less red) but you shouldn't have to worry about it clogging your pores or making any existing acne worse or anything l

    Epsom salt

I've heard about how epsom salt is some sort of magnificent healer, so I figured it would be worth a shot to try using it on my oily, acne-prone face. I had been using a solution of 1/2 teaspoon sea salt with 1 tablespoon water, spreading that all over my face with a cotton ball and letting it dry, every night after washing my face with warm water and a washcloth. Doing nothing at all to my skin in the morning. I thought that alone would help my oily skin since sea salt is supposed to keep oili
  3. Has it worked for you or anyone you know? I want to start a water fast tomorrow. I'm just wondering how affective a water fast could be, the fast I will be doing is going to be 10 days long, I'm sure I can handle it considering I've done a few shorter fasts before (2 to 3 days). How helpful will it be in healing any acne I have? What about red marks, does it do anything for those? Also, any advice on how to make a 10-day-long water fast more bearable would be great.
  4. Anyone have a lot of luck with red marks clearing up fast? If so, how long did it take for them to go away after starting this?
  5. Thank you! I wasn't adding the + signs in between each word, which would explain why I couldn't find it.
  6. I have already searched the website but I can't find the oil cleansing method thread. If anyone remembers this, could you give me the link to it?
  7. Wow...how do you manage to keep up any energy? I tried just a three-day fast before, and by the end of the second day I felt like I was going to collapse. I really want to try it again, for longer, but I really just get so incredibly weak and crabby and tired. How do you do it?!
  8. Fruit! I love adding fresh fruit to my oats. Just chop up some fruit, or leave it whole if it's small like blueberries, mash it up a little so the juices run out, and stir it into the oats. Makes it naturally sweeter and taste real nice!
  9. I had the problem with my pillow, etc. etc. and what I do now is wrap a towel around my pillow and change it every 4-5 days or so. I wrap it lightly so the pillow's not being squeezed--just lightly wrapped. ^^ This doesn't put too much of a burden on the laundry, and no acne on my face! :] Just a tip ^^ Best of luck! Wow, that's a really good idea. I'll definitely be trying that instead.
  10. Try changing your pillowcase every night for a while and see how that goes. Even if you fall asleep on one side of your face, you probably turn during the night and end up sleeping on the other side of your face. Quite recently I kept breaking out only on the sides of my face even though I always fell asleep on my back (face not touching the pillow), and I used to change my pillowcase every week too. But once I started changing it every night, pretty quickly it started to get better.
  11. It's only been two days, and I swear I can already see the difference...no new breakouts! Normally in the past week or two, I've been getting a new pimple every time I wake up in the morning...so this may be working!
  12. I realized that I'm going to burn through pillowcases really fast, I'll have to be washing them in the laundry quite often. But I guess it's worth it if it works...so tell me if the changing pillowcases works out for you.
  13. My forehead, nose, above my lip, under my eyes and chin are all impeccably clear. I'm very happy with that. However, the sides of my face - outermost part of my cheeks, temples, next to eyes - are all breaking out in red inflamed pimples. Usually all of my face is breaking out, so there must be something besides my new eating plan that's keeping my t-zone clear, but the sides pimply. What could be causing this? Is it my pillowcase? I've heard that can give problems to some people, so I just now
  14. Interesting idea. Lately I've been really pissed because I keep breaking out even though I've been eating what I think is healthy...sprouted grain bread, organic unsalted butter, olive oil, veggies, fruits, dried fruits, almond, pecan, sunflower seeds, soy crisps, all-natural hummus, homemade soy ice cream (made with Stevia), your guilt free chocolate recipe, and other things I don't remember. But when I actually went through and counted out how fat I've been eating daily, it added up to over 10
  15. I've tried using my hand, but it's really not big enough to cover my entire face. The paper plate seems like it would work, though.
