  1. Hi all, I have been battling with adult acne for the past 10 years and am now FINALLY seeing wonderful improvements in my skin. I went to a naturopathic doctor and after asking lots of questions, he diagnosed me with Poly Cycstic Ovaries. This is very common with 10-30% of people with female reproductive organs having it but most not even realizing or not getting diagnozed by doctors. If you have ovaries, acne and any of the other symptoms associated with PCOS (eg irregular periods or excess

Which micro needling pen is best?

Thanks for the replies. I asked Dermapen about the claims and they said it was all lies for profit etc. It's so hard to know who to trust!
  3. Hi, I'm looking into buying an at-home dermapen device, can anyone tell me which is best? I thought the Dermapen would be as its the most popular but I just came across the Derminator which claims that the dermapen stays in the skin for too long and then causes micro-tearing when the pen is moved. The Derimantor looks a lot more basic than the dermapen but if it works better and is safer for long term use, I will go with that. It's just so hard to know what claims are true! Any advice would be g
  4. Thought I'd post my product review here as this product has greatly improved my redness and scarring. It's been a few years since I've come on here as I'd lost faith but now that I've found this and my confidence has boosted, I want to share the love and see others benefit too... After 9 years of adult acne, I've FINALLY found something that works! I saw this reviewed in a magazine and then came online to find lots of other reviews/blogs singing it's praises. I was actually a bit skeptical
  5. I've been a member here for 7 years and haven't visited in a few years, honestly because I'd lost hope a little bit and I felt that reading about acne so much was making me obsess with mine and made it worse on an emotional level (thoughts have a DEFINITE effect on acne and the rest of the body!). Now I've come back because I need to tell you guys about something I found that has cured my acne which has been troubling me for 9 years. I've tried practically everything and now I'm happy and conf

Not for me but may work for some

Not for me but may work for some

Firstly, I have to say that everybody is different so what may work for one skin type may not work for another. I have tried all the range of salcura products and they didn't clear my acne but I have no doubt that it works for other people. I stopped using the spray and spot treatment as they weren't working for me, I think they were too harsh or had too many ingredients in which my skin may have been sensitive to but I still use this facewash to take my make up off which it does a really good j

    Really hydrates!

    Really hydrates!

It took me a while to get used to this. At first I wasn't diluting and my skin was horribly sticky and dry. Now I mix it with lots of water and spray it on and it's amazing! Not sticky and it really hydrates my skin and makes it look a bit plumper (my scars are less dented). AFter all kinds of lotions and oils, this has been the cheapest and most effective AND it's all-natural. Big thumbs up!

    Goodbye Adult Acne!

    Goodbye Adult Acne!

After 9 years of adult acne, I've FINALLY found something that works! I saw this reviewed in a magazine and then came online to find lots of other reviews/blogs singing it's praises. I was actually a bit skeptical as it seemed too good to be true and I've been let down by other products so much. I really lost my faith but I'm SOOOO happy I gave this a chance because I haven't felt so good in years! I spray this on morning and evening after washing my face with a natural wash (Salcura Antiac) and

    Clarisonic Review/Recommendation

I don't come on here much anymore because my skin has improved a lot over the past couple of years and to be honest, I don't think it's good for healing to dwell on skin problems etc. But... I just had to post a quick review of the new Clarisonic because I think it could help a lot of people. It basically uses the same technology as the philips sonicare toothbrushes to cleanse and exfoliate the skin and I've found that it really helps with red marks. It brushes and vibrates on the skin and rem
  12. I had a follow up consultation with dr khan yesterday and will be getting the PRP treatment in march to help the stem cells along. I had a chance to look at pictures of my scarring before the stem cell treatment and I actually forgot how bad it was. There is a huge improvement in the overall condition of my skin. Maybe not as much as I first thought right after the treatment because that may have been swelling but looking back, my skin looks so much better now. Hopefully after the PRP it will lo

    Am I just insensitive?

I think everything's relative and it's how your appearance makes you feel that really matters. You may think your scars are bad but compared to someone who has had their face bitten off by a dog, I guess you shouldn't complain either. I think we should all be sensitive to everyone's situations... one person may be completely unaffected by seemingly severe scarring while another with low self esteem may get depressed over one small scar. I don't think we should give compassion on a points system.
  14. So sorry to hear about the results of your stem cell treatment lessening. :( I hope you get the improvements you'd like at some point, dostoyevsky!

    1. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like my scars are slowly coming back after just 4 -5 months. My skin still looks better but the rolling scars which were plumped up with the surgery now seem to be going back again I need to make an appointment with dr khan as I haven't seen him in a few months. I expect he may suggest another treatment like fraxel but to be honest, I don't have the funds and don't want to take the risk so I may just ask for a temporary filler instead. I'm still h
