  1. I had a facial about ten days ago. Since then my skin has pretty much been erupting every day. I have gone from being clear, with the odd spot now and again, thanks to Dan's regimen, to having about 12 prominent whiteheads. My confidence is shot and I don't know what to do. I thought I'd got through the worst of this. I'm due to return to drama school again next week, but don't feel up to it in this current state. HELP. Any quick clearance advice? x

You are very pretty. And you will get through this. x
  3. Thank you for your kind comment. I watched the clip that you suggested and I have to say that it really helped my self-esteem. My scarring is more sporadic than hers - I have some of the cheeks and forehead too, but it is similar in depth.

This shows quite clearly that the scar is rather deep. Yuck.

    The Scar Chronicles

As some of you may know, I was rather successful in eliminating acne from my life for about the last 8 or 9 months. In the last month, however, I have had some come back, and just recently I had a huge cyst, which has left a huge dent by the left side of my mouth. Having already worked on less pronounced scars, it has really hampered my confidence. I happen to be an actor, too, so this is a nightmare. Any suggestions for treatment will be welcome. Thank you.

This makes me want to cry. The mark higher up on my left cheek has been there for some time. One of them I could probably handle, but now I look like someone has taken a pick axe to the side of my mouth, leaving me with two fairly large indents.

I am not too bothered by these minimal scars. I have worked on them for the last 6 months or so and I almost find them attractive..?!
  8. That's fantastic news, Weevil! Are you based in the UK? I saw a Dr Dirk Budkha; he is a microbiologist. When I met with him initially, he asked me questions at length, took blood samples, a urine sample and swabs from my skin and saliva. He often finds that people who have ongoing health issues concering the skin, allergens and/or problems with the digestive tract have an underactive enzyme, thus toxicity accumulates in the body. When he gave me my results, they were specific to my DNA and so wa

I have a really similar scar to you in the middle of my left cheek. I'm wondering what to do about mine at the minute, too. Please let me know what you decide and if you have any luck...
  10. Hello, anybody who is interested! I hardly come on acne.org these days, as I am very fortunate not to have to. After 4 years of Hell with my acne, I am now consistently clear - with a very occasional blemish here and there. I have been on the regimen over 8 months, and my detox body cleanse was so useful; I can now eat what I want (within moderation or I'll get fat!!), but it doesn't effect my skin. What a blessing. The DKR comes strongly recommended by me, as does investigating the root cause
  11. Thank you so very much! I am very happy right now, but equally aware that these things move and change. I am living in the now. And it is good. Love to all. Please let me know if I can be of any help to you.
  12. About a week after the post above, I had an upsetting eruption, which I remarked on a different topic forum about, but since then..I have been more or less spot free! I don't get weekly outbreaks now. Instead, I probably get one or two spots every couple of weeks, I am overjoyed! Using AHA as a night-time moisturiser has really helped me, I think. It's just cemented the results of the regimen for me and made them more reliable. My skin is looking replensihed and recovering. I have about 6 marks
  13. You have come so far already. Try to remain optimistic; you really are doing so well.
  14. Thank you, jarrit. This is what I mean. Is it how you would define 'purging', Welsh Lad? I'm crossing my fingers that mine doesn't do anymore than what it's doing currrently, as the general texture and appearance of my skin is so much better.
  15. I think I've had a little purge. I was using it as a spot treatment. I'm around the 4 month mark on the regimen now, but am still getting 1-2 spots per week (with no other bumps present). This is a remarkable improvement, but I want it to stop. Full stop. Because I want these blemishes banished, I thought AHA as a night-time moisturiser might do the trick. It's been three nights and I've only had 2 new spots occur, but one is a pustule by my mouth - I haven't had large spots for awhile so I thin
  16. Sunday 29th November: Today I have fantastic news - I do not have any active acne!! I am not sure how long this will last, but I am enjoying it for now..
  17. I am now three and a half months into the regimen: I am having a terrible time with my housemates and severe lack of sleep. Because of this, my skin could be suffering a lot more than it is; what I am finding, however, is that I am still susceptible to one or two spots per week and they are much worse if I pick. I am trying to avoid picking, but it's rather tempting. Since my facial, when I was at home, my red marks and some indentation have minimised. Yey. I have another two booked for over the
  18. Jojoba oil has worked really well for my flakiness. I want the acne to be gone. Full stop. Thank you so much for your positive input to the thread, TTTTTurtle! Good luck to you, too. Let me know of your progress.
  19. Week 9 of Diet week 12 of BP: So, I have had a couple of big eruptions today, which have been a huge disappointment. I have been at home for 'reading week' and took a chance on booking a resurfacing facial; the therapist, who I have a lot of time for, did warn me that if there is anything wanting to erupt this will be encouraged in the first few days post-treatment. I suspect this is what has happened, since it is now two days since. Unfortunately, I am going back to London tomorrow. These lmup
  20. Oh, wow. Your results, after a long time invested in the regimen, are amazing! Your skin looks fantastic and I'm sure that you feel great as a result. Seeing how far you've come is so encouraging: I'm on my 11th week of the DKR and am still getting a couple of new spots per week. I hope that this will improve, but it is, already, a huge step forward. Congrats on your success!
  21. I've ordered flakiness products, but that comes and goes. I think that the regimen, combined with my personalised diet plan, has born extremely good results in my skin thus far. I am still not 100% clear, but I get 1-2 spots (sometimes 3) per week now, as opposed to 2-3 new active lesions a day! I'm also at the re-introducing food stage, so this can be a little temperamental with the skin. Now that it has restored itself significantly, I know within 24 hours if I have reacted, ie. I will have a
  22. Thanks for the advice of flakiness. I stopped using BP for 2 or 3 days and applied a lot of moisturiser. It has worked, on the most part. As someone warned, it allowe a few minor blemishes to come to the fore, but I am very pleased with the reduction in my acne at prsent. I am now getting 2-3 new active spots a week, as opposed to a day - which is what I was experiencing before. I'm on week 10, so I haven't had the miracle turnaround that many have had, but I certainly recommend sticking with it
  23. I haven't had this before whilst on the regimen, and now I'm paranoid about my face for a new reason! I've seen your suggestion about jojoba oil. I don't own any yet, but have placed an oreder, though I'm sure it'll take awhile to arrive. I have Argan oil: do you think I should apply this in the same way that you recommend? Please get back to me. Grace x
