  1. yea the brand im taking is jarrow formula's Pantethine, not Pantothenic Acid. pantethine is a derivative of pantothenic acid.....essentially the part that raises coenzyme A (from what i understand) which basically skips one of the steps of the body having to convert the pantothenic acid. I was trying pantethine because i don't want the megadosing of pantothenic acid. but yea thanks for your reply....how has the caveman method worked for you?
  2. thanks for the reply. i have noticed now that 900mg a day has not really done much for my acne after about a month. i'm going to stay the course, but may upgrade the dose to 3x per day instead of 2x, making it 1350mg. i'll see if that makes a difference.
  3. what razor are you using?
  4. ok, so i have been taking pantethine for 2 weeks now (450mg 2x per day). i had about 3 pimples form near my lower lip area which is a problem spot for me, but none on my jawline (another problem spot). ...the first two pimples lasted for only about 2 days, and the third was one painful and took about a week to come to a white head, and now i have a blemish where it was. otherwise, i have had a noticeable reduction in my normally very oily skin. i would be shiny at the end of the day. now, i
  5. Hey everyone, just started taking pantethine after reading about it on here. i'm currently taking 450mg, twice a day. i just wanted to know if anyone has had recent success with it or not, how long did it take? did you break out from it? I have mild acne that is a major annoyance. i have been breaking mostly near my jawline and chin/lower lips area, with small pimples that come to white-heads. i should note that i use dan's cleanser and moisturizer morning and night. dan's AHA for spot
  6. awesome! will this be recommended for use every day in place of the regular moisturizer? how will it compare as far as hydrating the skin?
  7. excellent, thank you all for your swift responses! im gonna go to the store today and see what i can find on hand, then maybe give the every man jack stuff a shot if i dont like what's available in store.
  8. CeraVe Moisturizer does not have sunscreen. The CeraVe AM formulation does. No moisturizer will make your flakes go away. The flaking isn't really from the dryness, it's from incomplete skin shedding. BP does this to a lot of people. My recommendation would be: when you cleanse, take a wet washcloth and gentle rub in tiny circles where you have flakes to remove them. Follow up with CeraVe AM in the morning, and just plain CeraVe at night. ok thank you guys.... i have been using jojoba
  9. awesome, just don't know if i can get it in time...doesnt seem to be available in stores. maybe i'll check target or walgreens even tho it seems to be online only. do you still use BP as normal when using this? i was wondering if maybe i should reduce the BP to just at night because i'll be spending a lotof time in the sun.
  10. i've been on the regime for about 3 weeks now and am looking for an alternative to dan's moisturizer due to lots and lots of flakiness on my face. i've searched the forum and found that ceraVe was recommended and that it has a sunscreen in it. i'd just like to hear from people who have used it and liked/didnt like it....and maybe learn some more about it, such as if it helps with flakes or leaves my skin shiny, etc.. thanks!
  11. Hey all, i've been on the regimen for about 3 weeks and it's working pretty well. i only have mild acne to begin with, but it was getting annoying...the beginning of this week i had a few blemishes, but 0 new zits for the first time in forever. (of course as we speak 2 more have shown up) ... anyway, i'll be going to bermuda this weekend and i was just wondering if i should stop the BP for a few days before (or even for the whole week i'm there) or just use at night or something, because i
  12. I would continue to use aveeno therapeutic shave cream. That is what I use because it is non comedogenic and moisturizing, and it's awesome while on the regimen. I shave everyday or every other day using this, and I cleanse after shaving. Shaving using the cleanser is very unnecessary in my opinion as long as you are using a good shaving cream like aveeno, and yes, using the cleanser to shave with will make more tug and pull on your hair. I hated that when I tried it and found it more irritating

  14. cool, thanks for the insight. i'm going to continue to use the moisturizer with a few drops of jojoba oil added to it in order to combat the redness and flakiness. i used a tiny bit of eucerin original moisturizing cream by the corners of my mouth where its noticably red, and that seemed to help, especially overnight. (it also works great to moisturize my hands...although it's really thick) for shaving, i do like the smoothness that the shaving cream provides. it just feels like less tug and
  15. hello everyone, I've been using dan's BP and for a few years just as a spot treatment, (which worked up until now) but recently feel the need to step up and go full regimen, mostly due to not having completely clear skin any longer. so, i have some questions/concerns: My skin seems to be somewhat sensitive so i've started using only a small amount of BP at first, just at night. I already have redness, but its localized to the corners of my mouth. it itches and makes me look weird haha. i'm j
