  1. An aesthetician recommended that I use a retinol cream product (roc) to help with milia, and she said that it might help with acne, too. Last night I had a large pimple that was just starting to form, and I used retinol cream for the first time. This morning the pimple had a large white head on it, something I wouldn't have expected to see so soon. I wonder if the retinol cream brought the infection to the surface??? From the reading I've done, retinol cream is similar to retin a, but they're
  2. Has anyone heard of this? (It's a product used in facials.)
  3. I'm getting a facial on the 30th, and when I asked the aesthetician about milia she said that it would help if I used a retinol cream at night. Has anyone tried this combination before?
  4. Oh yeah, and I suppose I should mention that I stopped taking a stimulant medication (Adderall) just over a week ago. I would think it would take longer than that for my body to adjust and see improvement though? And I had acne long before I started taking Adderall to begin with.
  5. Pimples generally last at least a week for me though, usually longer. Granted, the biggest ones had been there a few days, but they're still going away more quickly than usual, and I don't think I've had any new ones in spite of the fact that this time of the month should theoretically be the worst. Here's what I'm doing: First and foremost, I've been using visualization. The process of purposely visualizing a desired outcome (and focusing on it until I actually get excited/happy about it) ha

  7. I usually have a few of those big round painful red ones that take a while to go away. (And it's worse on my back.)

  10. I've had acne since 6th or 7th grade, and birth control and pregnancy didn't help at all. Antibiotics didn't help, topicals didn't help (though I didn't use them as regularly as I should have), Proactiv made it worse. The only thing that ever seemed to help was drinking hot lemon water twice a day. I haven't done that regularly in over a year though. I'm currently 26 years old. To tell you the truth, my acne doesn't really bother me that much. I guess I just don't think about it much. I've bee
  11. Has anyone experienced eyebrow bleaching? I get acne near (sometimes in) my eyebrows sometimes, but I don't want to risk bleaching them by putting the treatment on them if that's something that happens to some people.
  12. From the photos it doesn't look like the amount or length of the hair is unusual.
  13. I just recieved my shipment of the treatment this morning and used it right away. I didn't get red or itchy or flaky or dry at all. I've used some 5% stuff I already had as a spot treatment for about a week, so maybe my skin is already sort of used to it? On one hand I'd like to start using the full amount as soon as possible, but on the other I don't want to rush it and find out that I've gone too quickly the hard way. What do you think? Should I start using it twice a day right now or wait a
