  1. Hey guys, I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong topic since I'm relatively new and I don't know where this would go, but I need some advice. A few weeks ago I started taking Yaz for my mild-mod acne. This gave me a reaction and I got three cysts on my face. I never had this type of acne before so I know it's from Yaz. I stopped using Yaz immediately. But now I have this big cyst on my forehead which I need gone ASAP because I refuse to leave the house like this. I know I sound very whiney heh
  2. DONT GIVE UP. I was losing hope after month 7 of taz. My taz never worked until about a month ago but now things are doing great. I had to change up some stuff but it definitely made a difference. Here we go. How much Taz do you apply? I literally USED to goop it on, but now I stick with the thinnest layer possible as long as I feel my whole face is covered. Also, my derm gave me Triaz 6% to wash with both morning and night. That has worked miracles along with CLINDAGEL in the morning. I re
  3. Well after trying tons and tons of OTC meds and antibiotics for my mild/moderate acne, my derm put me on Tazorac 0.1% June, 2007. I have been using it consistently for 9 months now to clear up these mostly comedones and occasional inflamed ones. Tazorac gave me an IB but I stuck it out and my face got really clear for about 5 months. Now, for the past 3 weeks, my face has been breaking out again. So, I started applying it 2x a day with moisturizer. That helped for a week but then nothing. I'm si
  5. My brother had the same type of acne as you, he used antibiotics for a while but became immune to them. He went to the derm and got Tazorac 0.1% cream and it works wonderfully. So, I would suggest making a doctor appointment, it will save you time and guesswork with OTC products. I hope this helps some
  6. I have been using Tazorac for 8 months now, I would first put on moisutizer at night and then spread a pea-sized amount all over my face. It worked perfectly before and my face was clear, but 2 weeks ago I am breaking out again. I haven't changed anything in my routine so I don't understand... Now I have started to use it twice a day to see the effects. The right way to apply it is a pea sized amount all over the face after the moisturizer. The beads that you can scratch off is most l
  7. Thank you for the reply I was thinking about Accutane for a while now and I will definitely talk to my dermatologist so that I can start a low dose. If I start a low dose of Accutane, will I have a bad inital breakout?? Considering that I have been using Tazorac, I don't think it should happen...idk. I am worried about this because I go to college and I wouldn't want to walk around all red. Also, what are some good moisturizers to use when on Accutane??? Don't hesitate to answer if you're rea
  8. Hi everyone, I just joined acne.org and this is my first post. Well, I am searching for help because I have nooo idea what to try next.... Let me start at the beginning, my moderate acne started when I was 14 and I have been battling it for about 6 years now. It is VERY stubborn. I have tried all kinds of OTC products and they didn't help. So, I went to the dermatologist for the first time when I was 16. He prescribed Clindamycin, and I used it for 3 years with outstanding results. My face
