  1. What's the best way to shave? I already use a shaving cream that doesn't clog pores, anything else I can do?
  2. I've been on the Regimen for 4 months now and my acne is clearing very well. But at the same time my skin is always very dry and sometimes very red, no matter how much moisurizer I put on. I don't blame the regimen, I realize the harmful effects of BP and know it's just a price to be paid for clear skin. My question is I've been hearing a lot about this Proactiv product, and I'm just really curious how exactly it works, does it work, etc. I'm not giving up on the regimen, just educating myse
  3. Been on the regimen for about 4 months now, and my face is really tan looking. It isn't a bad thing I suppose, I'm just worried about what exactly is making my skin this different, and if it's normal and healthy. Should I be worried it's this tan?
  4. I realize this is a side effect of the regiment, I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering if there is a way to make my skin a little less red and flaky. I'm been on the regimen for about 3 months now, and it seems to be working great. No more zits. However, the BP gel seems to be making my skin red and extremely flaky. Moisturizer, Neutrogena, helps with the flakes, but my skin still looks a little damaged and red on some days. Am I being too agressive when I apply the gel and moisturizer? Woul
  5. i know this doesn't fit in perfectly with The Regimen, but i've been on it for two months and i can feel all the dead skin on my face. what's a nice and gentle facial wash that will still exfoliate my dead cells? and are there any gentle products that will get rid of blackheads?
  6. I'm in week 3 of the regiment, and I've noticed a few dry lines in my forehead. I'm not sure if these are wrinkles caused by the supposed premature aging (three weeks, whew that would certainly be premature) or if my skin is just too dry there. My question is should I ever be worried about putting on too much moisturizer if it seems like my skin needs it? also, if it matters I'm using Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture. is this a decent brand?
  7. Yeah, even strictly following the regimen you will have a breakout now and then, but the regimen will control it and make it go away a lot faster. also, I had a question that doesn't really need its own thread: does the BP gel only help to prevent acne, or does it also help to remove old red marks and blemishes? is there anything in BP gel that helps to renew the skin?
  8. st. ives in particular can be extra irritating? or exfoliating washes/scrubs in general?
  9. I'm in the middle of my third week on the regimen, and the skin on the lower half of my face has been flaking/scaling like crazy. It goes away and looks normal after I apply moisturizer, but when I get ready to wash and splash my face, the flaky skin absorbs the water is really obvious, and it seems like I shouldn't just let it sit there as I wash my face. will it just go away normally, or should I lightly wipe away some of the dead skin before I wash? I tried that tonight, so I guess I'll k
  10. The majority of people here would disagree. When the skin is exfoliated and well moisturised BP works very well for a lot of people, self included.
  11. thanks. I just realized there was a similiar thread on the first page as well, I guess I should have looked harder, sorry.
  12. Whenever my face gets sweaty, I don't know if I should immediatly wash my face and reapply bp and moisturizer, of if I should just pat away the sweat or do nothing or what. How should I deal with sweat in the middle of the day.
  13. has anyone had any experience with using the St. Ives medicated face wash with SA in it? would using this as the wash and then using BP work?
  14. I'm currently looking at this product http://www.dermstore.com/product_BP+5+Gel+...4.htm?lid=45062 and wondering if anyone has had any experience with it? And if it isn't good, can anyone recommend me an effective product for zits and blemishes that's under 25 dollars.
