  1. I've noticed that UK stores don't sell exactly the same Olay brand that Dan recommends.. What's the closest match?
  2. My acne is pretty similar to this - is it really severe enough for a derm to prescribe the 'tane?
  3. hey all, I've been on the regimen a week now and the BP isn't really bothering me, but the cleanser is! In the fifteen minute gap after using the cleanser my skin gets very dry - especially around the cheeks and chin - and there's quite a lot of visible skin peeling off. Does everyone get this, or just me? Any advice on how to prevent all this dry skin - it's starting to look worse than my acne..!
  4. I had to end it at three weeks because my acne was simply not clearing up at all! Not only was I getting spots in brand new areas like my forehead and nose but I was getting a lot of whiteheads around my mouth and chin while on this regimen. I understand that some of you are passionate about this regimen, and I can understand some of the logic behind the argument, but I simply couldn't bear going any further with it.
  5. I started the regimen last night. I'm using a tea tree and witch hazel cleanser, a pump of BP and a tea tree and witch hazel moisturiser. So far I've done two applications and the 1 pump of BP is working out for me - no irritation as of yet. So long as I don't get any itchiness I'll ramp it up to 1.5 pumps next week. Good luck everyone!

Tried this for three weeks - didn't work for me! Not only did I get acne in 'new' areas like my forehead and nose, the rest of my acne didn't really clear up.. I guess what works for one person may not work for another

  9. It's so annoying, isn't it? Just when you think you're clearing up in one area you'll break out again and be back to square one..! It just sucks knowing that it's guna take a couple of weeks for the spot and scar to fade
  10. I've been on this regimen for three weeks now and although I noticed a slight difference at first, it doesn't seem to be working now. I eat well, go to the gym a moderate amount and have not washed my face once (!) but my acne doesn't seem to budge. I enjoy the fact that I don't have to spend 30 mins + a day applying all the products, but this regimen isn't worth it if the spots don't clear. When did you guys notice a difference? ps. I've got the driest skin around my chin - this also seems
  11. I've never cried, but I've punched a mirror that I was looking in! Man, that felt good
  12. & what regimen are u talking about?? Not washing your face,or dans regimen? I'm talking about this regimen, hence why I posted in this thread!
  13. I have found this topic, and other related ones, very enlightening! After reading this thread I realised that this 'common sense' method made perfect sense and deserved a try. I have been fighting acne since I was 17 (I'm now 21) and have tried antibiotics, over-the-counter topicals, Dan's BP regimen and more 'natural' regimens like Ibuprofen gel and Tea Tree Oil. Over these four years my acne has gone through cycles of getting much better, but then would inevitably get worse again.. I then
  14. I haven't used a cleanser at all due to it burning my face years ago. But i will try to find a mild cleanser this time. Plus did you just use Tea Tree Oil mixed with the ibuprofen or did you use Tea Tree Oil Cream? Or it doesn't matter what one you use? Thanks. You use the Ibuprofen gel first and then mix the TTO with some moisturiser afterwards..
  15. I've been doing this Ibuprofen Gel and tea tree oil regimen for about three weeks now and I have to agree that it is probably the best regimen I've ever been on! I have no new or active spots at the moment, and only a few marks left from former acne The regimen which works for me is: Gently submerge face in warm-hot water for about a minute in the morning; Wait 10-15 minutes then apply a generous amount of Ibuprofen Gel all over my face; Then wait another 10-15 minutes and then apply Dan's mo
