  1. you could just do what i did and block your eyes out of the photo's so no one knows its you....
  2. we are always so hard on ourselves. the ironic thing is that when i see someone else with scars i don't look at them the same way i look at myself. we are always much more forgiving of others flaws and imperfections but sooo hard on ourselves. trust me that people are not looking at you and having the same thoughts that you are having of yourself. there is the odd asshole out there but who cares about them, they're assholes! lol. :box:
  3. That is absolutely ridiculous! BUT I just checked thier website and they don't offer Fraxel. The have the Fractionated CO2 Laser which is a different machine. That's probably what you were quoted on. I have no idea about what that costs or it's effectiveness.
  4. i break out after peels too.
  5. that's so strange...that's where i got them too after the fraxel. it seems to be the only place i do break out lately. i wonder why that is? although i am not complaining...it's better than all over i suppose. Your downtime depends on how high of settings your doctor uses--the higher the setting, the longer the recovery. Although in my case, I didn't think recovery is that bad. You should get it done on a Friday so you have the weekend to reover. Also, some people take longer to recover
  6. I had scars that look like that too (wavy like). I still have them but they are more smooth and leveled. But the first picture remind me of what I use to look like when I took pictures in the same angle. It will look better once you have new collagen produced in those depressed areas. that is encouraging. thanks!
  7. i have used fillers for years and yes it does work. i just got tired of having to go in every couple months for a "filling" and so i wanted to try something different to see if it would work. i have used both collagen and restylane as fillers. the restylane is very painful going in, and swells to look like cystic acne for about a week or longer BUT it lasts longer than the collagen. i used the collagen mostly. i have also done microdermabrasion, IPL, peels and none of them have worked. i'v
  8. First off thanks for posting pics. How many fraxel treatments are you planning on having? I ask because I have 2 very similar scars to yours and am planning on having fraxel done myself, they look like rolling scars that seem worse when looked at angles or shade. In the second photo you can barely see the scarring once seen at full view. Has anyone had any success with this type of scarring after undergoing fraxel? Hi nate28, I had scarring like sherlock along with ice pick and box sca

    *BEFORE* Fraxel....

My scars *BEFORE* Fraxel. The pics and lighting actually make the scars look better than they are. I know my scarring is mild to moderate...barely anything on my right side. The left side is the side that really bothers me. The redness from the acne is gone because I have been free of it for over 10 years now, so I know my skin tone is good. It is just the pitted marks that I would like to improve.
  12. I had my first Fraxel Treatment two weeks ago today. January 16, 2008 TREATMENT 1 - 8 passes Setting 6 Energy 40 (only used a 4 setting on my forehead) Used a needle to scrape inside my cheeks to break up scar tissue 2 advil - 1 codeine - 2 ativan - topical lidocane ----Tetracyclin taken for 1 week before and after to prevent breakouts.
