  1. Well doesn't that seem kind of stupid? If the recommended dose is 2500ui then why would they make a capsule in 10000ui? And that is all I could find. I read on here one time that someone was taking something like 5 15000ui a day. So I guess I will just take 1 capsule
  2. Hello all- I have not posted in a while but I have some questions maybe someone can answer. I have been reading about vitamin a and how it can clear acne. I have mild but persistant acne and nothing seems to clear me up. I bought some vitamin a today, its 10,000 iu per capsule. How many should I take a day to be on the safe side but strong enough to help me a little? I am a little nervous taking this, but I think as long as I dont take huge amounts I should be ok. The last 2 days I have taken 3
  3. I'm a little disappointed.. nowhere did they mention that you will break out before it gets better. They made it sound like within a couple weeks you should be almost clear. They even said within 4 weeks 90% of their customers are clear.. guaranteed. Are they lying?? I guess maybe I'll just try it anyways
  4. Hey- has anyone ever tried Murad's acne complex kit? I seen an infomercial for it last night and it seemed to be amazing. But of course, they all SEEM amazing. It seemed a little more promising than proactiv though. I was thinking of ordering it but just thought I'd get some input first before I go and drop another 40 bucks - Thanks in advance!
  5. What I meant by antibiotic is.. BenzaClin. My derm said that BenzaClin has an antibiotic in it and he didn't want to put me on it until he tried Benzagel. Because supposedly benzagel doesn't have an antibiotic in it. And I didn't necessarily expect to be cleared up in a week.. but I totally didn't expect to look worse! I guess I'll give it 2 more weeks and pray that it works But the thing is.. I can buy benzoyl peroxide that is stronger and more effective OVER THE COUNTER. .. for about.. oh s
  6. I don't know how many of you read my post about what a jerk the derm was to me and he gave me benzagel. Well.. I've been using it for a week and my skin looks worse than before. It doesn't do shit! and the worst part is... my insurance considers this stuff to be no different than over the counter benzoyl peroxide gel.. so they won't pay for it. It cost me 50 bucks for a little tube of that crap. My mom thinks that the derm was doing the right thing by not wanting to start me out on an "antibioti
  7. I just got back ... He wasn't how I expected him to be really. He prescribed me Benzagel..saying that it doesn't have an antibiotic and Benzaclin does? Is this true? I've never even heard of Benzagel.. does anyone know what it is and if it works? I told him that I wanted to try Benzaclin and he said my skin didn't look that bad. I told him that it does get worse at different times of the month.. and ... he laughed at me. Yes, he laughed. That was really professional of him. Really. Doctors shou
  8. I'm going to the derm Monday and I would like to have him prescribe me either Benzaclin or Duac gel. Have any of you tried either of these? Which works better? I work in a pharmacy and a lot of people come in and get Benzaclin, and they have beautiful skin! So, it must work.. but the pharmacists told me that it only works for a couple months and then your skin becomes immune to it and it stops working. I don't want to use it if that's the case. I get so upset when things work good for me for lik

  10. I've tried Dan's regimen, and Botchla's regimen.. both worked for me... but only for a while. Everything I use on my skin works good for a month or so, and then it just stops. I have fairly sensitive skin. I think Dan's regimen and Botchla's regimen irritated my skin too much. I have mild and persistant acne. I recently came across some Clinique products that I have in my cabinet. I used them for a long time and they worked great, but I stopped using them to give Proactiv a try and then other t
  11. No need to be sarcastic Nate I just wasn't sure if maybe it lost it's effectiveness after the expiration date. It never occured to me that it'd be harmful. I mean I know with some foods... they don't necessarily go bad after the expiration date. I just assumed they stop selling it after the expiration date. So I should go ahead and use it then?
  12. I found a tube of differin gel in my medicine cabinet and the exp. date was 12/03. Do you think it would still be ok to use even though it supposedly expired like 7 months ago?
  13. Bumping my post.. hoping someone will see it!
  14. For those of you using Botchla's regimen... I have a question. After washing with the blackhead clearing scrub.. do you dry your face and rewet it to apply the BP wash? or do you just apply the BP wash right after you rinse the clearing scrub off?? I've been applying it right after I rinse the clearing scrub off.. but I was just wondering. Thanks in advance
  15. I'm sorry, but I had to laugh when I read this. The regimen worked for me also. Doctor's are PAID to prescribe patients prescription meds. Why would they tell you to go to the store and buy BP, when they can make money by putting you on a prescription? I have to agree with the others... take your frustration elsewhere. By calling this a scam, you're really making a fool out of yourself.
