  1. First of all thank you to all who post here. I have learned so much. Most importantly that everyone's skin is so different, and you really have to do a lot of trial and error with what affects it. Personally, I have discovered that a combo of Dan's regimen (Basically the gentle cleanser, BP, and moisture. I was irritating my face too much in the past.) and a healthy diet works for me. I went on 2 junk food binges in the last month and both times it resulted in a horrible breakout. Then wh
  2. Congratulations!! Gentle is definately better! Wishing you continued success!! J
  3. Clearasail Ultra 10% BP. Great for spot treating. Be careful thought, it can be very drying and irritating if you use it all over. HTH, J
  4. Hi there. For a lot of girls, Cetaphil just does not remove makeup. I think it's a great morning cleanser, but you need something better to remove makeup before bed. I use Purpose soap or wash (the one in the pump bottle) at night and it removes makeup well. The soap stings my eyes so you may want to use a separate eye makeup remover. Wish I could help you about the pore size too. HTH, J
  5. Adult Acnomel (do a search on drugstore.com) is sulfur based as is Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask (just spot reat with it). HTH, J
  6. Update-5/4/05. I've been on Dan's regimen for a full week, doing it by the book! I got his BP gel about three days after I ordered it. I can honestly say it is the BEST BP treatment I have ever used. I can not believe he has made a product FAR superior to anything Neutrogena, J&J, Clearasil, Paula's Choice, you name it, has put out. For me there was no irritation, it spreads like a dream, no pastey white residue like OTS. Well now on to the results. Just as I am doing a textbook reg
  7. I am doing The Regimen EXACTLY how Dan says to. It's almost been a week and I am very pleased so far, especially since I got Dan's gel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff! I too have read other posts about The Regimen not working for people, and when I see thier routines they are not doing it at all how Dan says to, or using products not even recommended. This drives me crazy!
  8. Hi there. First of all, congratulations on all the success you're having. I don't know if you're female, but if you are is your period due soon? My chin always flares up right before my TOTM. Maybe by your next cycle you would have been on the regimen long enough to stay clear at that time. Wishing you continued success! J
  9. Well I look awful today. Have 4 pustules in a row on my chin- I feel like I could play connect the dots- and 3 whiteheads. Also like a welt zit under my eye. It's bugging the crap out of me. My face was itchy today and I washed it in the afternoon because the pustules were about to explode, and I had to go to work. I hope I didn't do any more damage by washing an extra time. It's so hard for me to stick with a regimen. I already want to give up. But I will give it 8 weeks. I wish I c
  10. I am probably the oldest person on this board, 37, with mild/moderate acne, mostly hormonal chin, mouth, jaw area, also on the sides of my nose. Basically down the middle of my face. For some reason my forehead and cheeks are clear. Have had acne forever, been to derms on and off for years, cleared with minocycline and some topicals, but got several yeast infections and went off. Now due to circumstances beyond our control I have no health insurance and can not afford a derm. I did the re
  11. Are you using the Cetaphil Cream that comes in the green tub? This makes some people break out. Maybe stop using this and see if your skin improves.
  12. Hi Wikka, I suggest incorporating an AHA product. I just picked up Alpha Hydrox 10% enhanced cream to use for the Acne Cure. This should brighten your complexion and help fade old red marks, and help w/ wrinkles. Also, Makeupalley's skin care board has a lot of great info and in "productville" there are a ton of product reviews. Good Luck!
  13. Hi Messenger, I'm starting The Acne Cure regimen tomorrow. I don't have the book, but I'm gathering info from the net, which is how I came across your post. Prevention magazine has some good info on it http://www.prevention.com/cda/feature2002/...-5489%2C00.html? for anyone interested. And yes from what I understand you only do the glycolic in the am, and bp in the pm. And wash w/ sa both. From what I've read about it, this system makes sense. The reviews I've read seem great-but of cours
