    Day 17

hey kaz,i had my initial breakout in the second and third weeks of use, so this is what you are going through now.i used to hate it aswell, but one day i thought to myself "im going through this becuase it is the WAY tot he cure, its only going to get better from here "just remeber that and youll be fine!good stuff for keeping the gymwork up.i also kept my fitnss up, but as im sure you have already discovered, it is SO much harder!
  2. i would of thought so yes. as long as you get the fats down when you take your dose, its good to go.
  3. Unlucky. Im 99% sure if your orig. derm went through all the ipledge paperwork, gave you the birthcontrol rx and everything she/he will give you the accutane script no problem, expalin what hapened with the other derm, the fact he didnt know you ect. i sorta had this problem: home doctor - been with him for 20 years, gradually prescribed me every anti-b, discussed accutane MOVED TO UNI uni doctor - would not refer me to derm or accutane. MOVED BACK HOME IN SUMMER home doctor - refered m
  4. Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Fat does not have to be unhealthy. Extra virgin olive oil is one of the best sources of essentail fatty acids ad just so happens to be a great compliment to accutane dosing
  5. I love accutane as much as the next guy, and id advise it to anyone with stubborn acne but, The whole point of this site is to be supportive to those who need it, not to isolate them. To be honest, id expect more from a 'veteran' member.
  6. first off, im glad you are taking your does with high fat content, i answer s many peoples roacc. problems and they know nothing about the importance of high fat intake with the dose to aid absorbtion, so good work so far! as for the capsules, i used fish oil at first, but then i incorporated healthy oils to my diet before my does, for example, spinach, tomato and chicken with two tablespoons of extra virgin oil dumped on top = great source of essential HEALTHY fats and good news for roacc. abs
  7. agree with siava, this is EXACTLY what i did when i came off roacc. i was worried about remission so i asked my derm for a retin-a rx for maintainance. i started from the last dose. I dont use retin-A anymore, i was interested to see what my skin would be like without it (knowing my derm would put me on roacc. again) i didnt break out, so i discontinued retin-a! now i wash regularly with cetaphil, keeps me clear
  8. HI Yeah i had really bad headaches for the first week, maybee two weeks, only really when i was trying to sleep which led to major sleep disruption, but after the two weeks was up i was fine as for photosensivity, i burned quite easily, where normally i wouldnt burn at all. Hope this helps.
  9. yeah milk is good. i just figured that 100% good oil is an awesome fat source!
  10. sounds good as long as its taken with high fat
  11. just answer thses two for me: 1. when do you take your daily dose(s)? 2. do you take the does with food, if so, what sort of food?
  12. i just posted this in another topic: it doesnt matter WHEN you take the dose as long as it is a REGULAR intervals. i cant stress this enough, you must take your dose with a high fat content meal / supplement, as accutane/isotretinoin is a retinoidal vitamin-A derivative, it needs to betaken with a dose of fats so it is digested and absorbed as efficiently as possble. for example i used to take my dose before bed, with a spinach and tomato salad with three massive spoonfuls of extra virgin ol
  13. i wasnt that oily before, was dry but not flakey 1 month post accutane, now nearly 2 years off and im balanced id say, not oily and not dry, just right
  14. it doesnt matter WHEN you take the dose as long as it is a REGULAR intervals also dcb1001 is very true, cant stress this enough, you must take your dose with a high fat content meal / supplement, as accutane/isotretinoin is a retinoidal vitamin-A derivative, it needs to betaken with a dose of fats so it is digested and absorbed as efficiently as possble. for example i used to take my dose before bed, with a spinach and tomato salad with three massive spoonfuls of extra virgin olive oil dumpe
  15. yeah i had the same, showering / gym made it redder then normal, subsided after use
