Writing in any way, shape or form. I also enjoy reading YA fantasy, console and tabletop gaming, cooking, baking and a million other things I can't think of right now. :)
  1. Like others said, it was probably your avoidance of her, not your acne, that made her break up with you. She probably cared for you no matter what you looked like. It was not being able to see/be with you that drove her towards a breakup.
  2. I know how you feel. I have a lot of boxcar scars and rolling on my cheeks from old acne, but like many people have said, it takes time for your skin to heal and remodel itself. It can take sometimes over a year, and even then some scars may not fill in all the way. Do you have any pictures of your scarring? Most people with scars think they're worse than they actually are, myself included. Probably because we have to look at ourselves every day. But it isn't something that should dictate
  3. If I were to date a girl with some scarring, I think it would actually help me accept my own scars even more.
  4. Checked out that video you had linked. I dug it; the guy is pretty talented. Thanks for sharing that!
  5. If you like old-skool gaming or "Let's Play" videos, this guy ALWAYS makes me laugh.
  6. I know that I should accept compliments, and I know that even people with flaws are beautiful, but whenever someone says I look pretty all I can think is, "They're lying."
  7. You're right. Courage is when you battle fear... for when there is no fear, you have no need for courage. And we're all afraid... just of different things.
  8. I'm completely the opposite. I'm constantly looking in mirrors or any reflective surface, judging to see if my scars look bad in this light or that light or the light over here. I hate it, but I can't stop doing it.
  9. If it's the lactose that bothers your skin, take heart in knowing that many hard cheeses (like cheddar) and soft-ripened cheeses (like Brie) contain very little lactose. People who are lactose intolerant can eat these cheeses in moderation without trouble.
  10. As a lot of people have said, some people are just more genetically prone to acne. It's kind of the same as some people eating whatever they want and not gaining a pound while someone else really has to watch what they eat in order to maintain their weight. Ah, the wonders of genetics.
  11. Dark chocolate is my one sweet that I ALWAYS keep in my apartment. Always. It sits in a little bowl on my coffee table.
