  1. I'm just wondering what I should do. I stopped accutane last May and since have been dealing with dry lips. It's important to note that they're not as bad as they were and have been getting better but is this likely to continue or should I see the doctor? I asked him before and he didn't seem to knowledgeable or helpful. Any advice would be great.
  2. That's great thanks guys. I tried what you said. I had to go out for a run just now so it meant obviously I had to have another wash, this time I used cool water and scrubbed away the dead skin with a wash cloth then reapplied the Zineryt, feels much better
  3. Basically I went to my doctor yesterday to get prescribed some Zineryt. It's an awesome topical for mild acne, it's a combination of Zinc and Erythomycin. Anyway because i'm using that I can't use anything else, or more I don't want to. Thing is my skin is now really dry and flaky. This started happening before I started the Zineryt actually. I've been using Clean and Clear and the moisturiser from the same brand. Both contain SA which I heard drys up your skin if you're allergic or used in conj
  4. My mum doesn't usually point out my acne, apparently she 'never notices it'. Which is bollocks. I've been getting bad breakouts recently probably due to using the wrong cleaning products. I get through the door after being in college and she says "I see you've got spots again..." ...No shit!! Like I haven't noticed at all. Naturally she blamed the stuff I was using and she's probably right but when your mum mentions your acne you know it's bad. Now I feel shit. I've also had insults like you guy
  5. That's excellent help thanks :D. I've used pretty much every cream and spot treatment and I don't think i've had an allergic reaction. Just have to wait for it to arrive and find out I guess, ordered it yesterday but might take a while being in the UK.
  6. I have recently been trying a few washes and SA products but they seem to be making me breakout worse than i've been in years. I've been using an anti bacterial wash, clearasil deep cleanse (a percentage of SA in not sure how much) and moisturiser (same again, contains some SA). This has been going for about 2 weeks now and I don't seem to have any signs of things getting better just worse, also after I apply the moisturiser my skin gets well dry afterwards anyway :/. So i'm going to ditch it al
  7. Haha i'll just take it as a compliment then . The amount of times I get confused for being a 19 year old it's mad. Though it doesn't happen as often these days but people still don't think i'm as old as I am. Let's hope it stays that way lol
  8. I know what you mean. I find some people think i'm not as confident as I actually am because of the acne. I guess it's fair as you don't expect acne sufferers want to attract attention to themselves.
  9. I'm not sure if anyone else gets this or has even noticed it, but I personally feel that people think i'm younger than I am purely because of my acne. Generally you see someone with acne you think they're 17-19 not 20 odd (i'm 22). I do wonder sometimes if I didn't have acne would I still get confused on looking younger, personally I don't think I would. I used to take it as a compliment until I actually thought about this and realised that I probably didn't look younger at all, it was just I ha
  10. I have to work with people constantly in my job as it's in a supermarket. As a guy I can't hide any spots so I basically have to deal with it. I don't know about anyone else but when I see someone else with acne I don't think much of it let alone stare. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't conscious of what people must be thinking but at the end of the day there's nothing that I can do about it so I just get on with things.
  11. Yes BP does seem a little extreme though it's the one thing I haven't really tried. I'll give those suggestions a try and see if it helps
  12. I looked around but I don't think it's available in the UK. There's not much here when it comes to that sort of thing I don't think. Don't really want to go back to my doctor as he basically said last time I went that there's not much they can do. I'll do like you guys said and cut down on shaving and exfoliating, probably get myself some Clearasil as it's all I can find that contains BP.
