  1. I’m a bit late updating as not much has really happened. Just over a week ago my doctor upped me to 40mg, he warned me that because I had such a good first month my skin would likely get worse for a while when increasing my dosage. My skin has actually stayed the same, I haven’t had any breakouts, the only think I’ve noticed is that other parts of my body are starting to get really dry now too like my arms and knees. One thing that did surprise me is the price of the Isotretinoin. 20mg onl
  2. Hey! 9 months sounds tough.. glad to hear that it really does work long term and I haven’t just wasted all my money haha. My acne is more moderate so I’m hoping the breakout won’t cause scarring. Thank you so much for the advice, I’ll deffo give those things a try:)
  3. My third week of Accutane is over! My face had gotten a little worse if anything, my chin has broken out in about 5 spots but luckily they have all been small and don’t last very long. My nose seems to be covered in blackheads which I never really noticed before but I guess everything is being pushed out and it just means it’s working. I know I shouldn’t but I’ve been using epiduo on my chin and nose to try and help. In terms of side effects I’ve recently started getting bad headaches as well
  4. I finished my second week of accutane a few days ago and my skin is blemish free! It’s been years since I’ve had not one spot on my face! My skin hasn’t broken out in over a week now but I’ve noticed that in certain lights my skin does look more uneven and my pores look larger. I’ve read from other people’s blogs that their pores became less visible after a few months so I’m hoping this happens with me too. My lips and skin aren’t as dry anymore so I haven’t felt the need to use moisturiser
  5. So I’ve just finished my first week on Accutane! It’s annoying how slow it’s going I’m on 20mg a day and will eventually be upped to 60mg during a 4 month course. I haven’t suffered really with any side effects other than my lips being a little dry but Carmex seems to help. I was really worried about potential hair thinning too so I’ve bought some Nioxin shampoo to try and prevent that from happening. My skin is already looking better than when I first started but I can feel some spots
  6. A Bit About My Acne: I started getting mild acne at the age of 13; as I got older I started getting under the skin cysts and my acne became more moderate. I’m 20 now and my acne severity has lessened with the help of the pill and creams, although my skin is still not where I would like it to be. My First Dermatology Appointment: After a bad break out last month I begged my Doctor to refer me to a dermatologist. The waiting list in my area to see a dermatologist is 8 months, so I ended up
