  1. How long have you been using oatmeal to cleanse? Does it seem to be working for you? Do you moisturize after?
  2. Thanks for the advice! I will check that thread out!
  3. Hello all, I am a 25 year old male that has not washed his face with any products in the last 6 days. I am using only water, and my face seems more irritated. I think I destroyed my skin with all of the products over the years, and now it doesn't know what to do. I have had acne and oily skin for about 10 years. It was only really bad for about a year, but I kept using my products religiously since I was so scared it would come back bad. I even went on accutane twice (only for a month each t
  4. Has anyone noticed their flushing/facial redness worse after a night of drinking? It seems like my face is way more red, dry and irritated (I still have oily skin) and that I also break out after binge drinking. Thoughts?
  5. Thanks for the advice everyone. If I have a lack of good bacteria, does that automatically mean that I have candida? I had a stool test done a couple years back and the results did not show any signs of candida. Just wondering if I would have to kill that in order to restore my good bacteria?
  6. Would you recommend a probiotic pill or would eating organic unsweetened yogurt do the trick? I do drink a lot of alcohol, so I'm sure that doesn't help.
  7. Will I fix the problem (lack of good bacteria) by just taking probiotics? Or do I have to do a cleanse of some sort?
  8. I currently have mild/moderate acne with occasional cysts. My pimples are always inflamed and have white pus in them. I am 24 years old and have been battling acne since I was 15. I was on antibiotics for 7 years until I finally went on accutane. My acne was 100% clear while on accutane (because my skin wasn't oily), but I had to quit accutane due to bad side effects. My skin is now really sensitive and it cannot handle topicle treatments well. My pimples never last for more than a couple days,
  9. My face is the exact same way. I have been off accutane for two years now, and it is still very sensitive and red. I was only on accutane for a month and I quit bc of this side effect. I would quit if I were you before it gets even worse.
  10. I have been using like 6 different cleansers trying to find a good one, and it has made my skin very irritated. I was using a cleanser called "Balancing facial cleanser" by Image and it was very soothing. I was using it for about 6 months, but I would also occasionally get huge cystic nodules under my eye area (very upper cheek). Is there any way a cleanser could cause huge pimples like that? Or do those ones usually come from inside the body? BTW I recently found out I am gluten intolerant and
  11. Hahahahahahaha 8 months of strict diet and only 50% improvement. Live your life and stop being so strict. When you go back to your original diet it's going to go back to how it was. 8 months of wasting your life.
  12. It doesn't matter. Just wash your hair first.
  13. I believe the antibiotics can cause bad bacteria to get out of control and cause adult acne. Look up candida, I believe that is what is causing my acne at 23 years of age.
  14. My skin has been very sensitive ever since I got off accutane two years ago. Would applying benzoyl peroxide every other night be better than not applying it at all? I am using Glytone 5% benzoyl peroxide (non-irritating formula). http://www.glytone-usa.com/products/learn-...gel/beauty.html
  15. I don't know if I have leaky gut. I do not have any symptoms other than acne. I do not have any reactions after eating ANY food. No stomach aches, nothing.
  16. Yeah I am in the same exact position you are in. I know that I have digestion issues, and I know I don't have enough good bacteria in my body, but then again probiotics always give me cysts. Gators_Fan: I think I do have leaky gut, how do I cure it? Gluten free, alcohol free, sugar free diet? I don't want to go on a diet for years.
  17. Thanks for the advice. I am just a little scared to take a probiotic, I feel that in the past they have caused some cysts that I don't usually get. Roll Tide by the way
  18. I am on a good quality B complex right now, but I would like to fix the problem instead of mask it. According to studies I have read online, B-12 and folic acid deficiencies are linked to lack of good bacteria and the inability to break down foods properly. The fiber supplement would be just an added bonus, the probiotic and digestive enzyme will be the most important supplements. Thank you for your response though.
  19. I plan on starting this regimen tomorrow. Should I take a probiotic with multiple strains, or would a quality acidophilus supplement be good? Also, I plan on taking a digestive enzyme, when should I take the digestive enzyme? It says with a meal...should I take it right before I start eating, while eating, or right after?
  20. I am currently taking measures to fix my digestive system. I had a stool test a while back, and it said that I do not break down my foods properly. It also said that I do not have any good bacteria (I forget which strain it mentioned). I also have a deficiency in vitamin B12 and B2. After many years of taking antibiotics, I believe they destroyed my digestive system. I plan on taking a quality fiber supplement, a probiotic, and a digestive enzyme. I have a couple questions. Should I take a probi
  21. Anyone tried it? Any thoughts on it?
  22. I feel the same way. I got acne when I was 15 and it cleared in high school a good amount, but I did the same thing and picked at it and now I have marks all over my face that will never go away. When I was like 12-14, I used to have girls come up to me all the time, the best looking at school. I was a VERY good looking guy, with the best skin out of all of my friends. Now I feel the same way, like I had so much potential, but will never be anything. I go to college too, and I also missed my cl
  23. I honestly think that is what I have....not good. Thank you though.
  24. You really aren't supposed to eat dairy on an anti-candida diet anyways (except for plain non flavored yogurt). I have been on the candida diet for 8 days now, and my skin is doing much better. I have had plain yogurt (Plain because it is low in sugar) every other day without problems. How long are you going to be on the candida diet? Antibiotics are terrible for fighting candida btw, are you taking antifungals?
