  1. try this- eat a carton of ACTIVIA yogurt everyday. once for breakfast and one before bed. You will have more bowel movements BUT it should help get those toxins through your body. I have bacne too and when i was eating activia, my skin was quickly clearing up. once i stopped however, it quickly went back to its ways. a four pack of activia yogurt will last you 2 days and costs about $3.50. You can buy a 24 pack at costco for about $10.50. Do try it. Although my acne isnt as as bad as yours,
  2. put on a good thick layer of neosporin. I had a huge zit when i ceased to follow my yogurt regime and after i popped it, i put on neosporin. a few days later, it was gone. neosporin will help kill the bacteria and prevent scarring. better to be safe than sorry.
  3. Hi all, the hot water method wasn't really working for me. However, it did clear up some blackheads and I've been using it periodically in between the morning and night time face washing. I've been back on activia since it's at costco (24 pack for about $10.50). I've been unable to obtain the dairygold one outside of one supermarket ($1.30 for each carton really adds up when I eat one a day). I've been on activia for less than 48 hours again and my skin is starting to clear up once again. I
  4. Sorry for the late reply, Ive been very busy with course work. I have pustules, whiteheads, and blackheads on my nose. I have oily skin. Oil that can accumulate to be really oily. I've tried the murad daily clarifiying supplements 2 years ago, hella expensive, i think $45 for a 30 day supply. It didnt' do what was promised. It also made my urine smell and a bright yellow so I stopped taking it.
  5. What I do is I don't touch them until I can see a whitehead or it feels...ready. I realized that those kinds of zits will sometimes go away by themselves if they aren't touched. Don't squeeze it before it's ready. Or if you have, STOP TOUCHING IT. The last thing you want to end up doing is damaging the skin even more and ending up with a red mark or scar.
  6. It was but I stopped using it. Why? I've been extremely busy with college for the past few days and haven't had time to go to the market. Word of advice- I purchased yoplait's yo-plus yogurt as a substitute since the supermarket I went to sold out of activia and dairygold. The effects weren't nearly as good. It was a dollar cheaper than activia. I have a feeling activia doesn't work as well on me as the dairygold brand does. The dairygold yogurt is significantly bigger than activia (regular
  7. I broke out the worst I have in months in the past two days and I'm not too sure if I want to continue. But hear me out. The day before I started, I slept with my makeup on. I know it's bad but I've never had a breakout THIS bad on the rare times I slept with my makeup on. I've also stopped the probiotic yogurt regime I went on for two weeks which greatly cleared me up. I'm trying to isolate what it is. The next time I go to the market (tommorrow) I'm definitely going to stock up on yogurt
  8. I get facials done once a month. I also use the creams that they give me. Yes it stings initially for 5 minutes but I only apply it at night. Yes there is extractions and my face is irritated afterwards but calms down 3 days afterward. I really think what you are putting on your face is too strong. You see, I have very sensitive skin and I've been through the acid peels/burning creams already with derms. I don't know exactly how severe your skin is but if I were you, I would go to another facial
  9. Skin started breaking out again..ran out and forgot to buy yogurt so no bm for 1 1/2 days after absent mindey ate peanut butter sandwiches (pb makes me break out!) and salty pizza when doing volunteer work. However, I expect the three zits that appeared to go away within 2 days. The sandpaper texture of my skin is still gone so I'm happy about that. I'm more inclined to believe the peanut butter or lack of yogurt made me break out rather than the pizza. I am also under stress due to coarse w
  10. Sorry if this sounds like a bit too much information but I feel compelled to shed some light on a possible cure for others. I'm a healthy eater and I've always very careful not to eat greasy oily food. I couldn't figure out why I had sandpaper bumpy skin. I went to several top derms in my state and they didn't help me after two years. My skin got worse- it was irritated and red. I was left with only accutane as an option. I refused to go on it. After stopping the irritating creams (I have VE
  11. Yes I would because I have acne too so I would understand that it isn't due to a lack of cleanliness. Sometimes I feel that the guys with acne are the most dependable because they don't have the cockiness some guys have. All the guys I really fell for had a mild-moderate acne problem. Their personalities were so attractive to me that I didn't mind their acne at all even though people commented about it.
  12. I've had acne for about 7 years of my life and I have had it under control recently. I have a cute face and body but I really feel that the bumps didn't do anything for me. So now guys are paying attention to me since it's improved but.... I'm a bit saddened because I think they're being a bit shallow. Guys chat me up in person wanting to hang out/know more about me and then usually leave me to pursue them OR I won't hear for them for two weeks at a time. These are college boys btw. I take it wi
  13. i've always used dove soap until recently. my facialist told me that my skin felt a bit sticky from soap residue because i used bar soap (she said it was from the small amount of animal fat inside which i can't confirm...). so i bought this soap she was selling (oriki-for oily skin) and i broke out for about a week and a half. my skin felt tight. however, my skin has now subsided and is clearer than before! my advice: just try using those pump soaps instead of bar soap for 2 weeks.
  14. Honestly I don't know what is in the cream but it cost me $25 for a little tub (1 inch x 1 inch x 1 inch) which seems to last a long time. It isn't irritating my skin and my skin is SUPER sensitive. It is tinted and has that smell of some kind of chinese medicinal cream. The bean sprout juice tastes like soup. After about a week and a half of drinking it constantly, I got used to it and actually am craving it now.
  15. Ok my friend had severe cystic acne that had to be injected frequently by a derm. I had moderate but VERY stubborn acne. My friend went to the beach and the sea water had helped clear it up significantly. But not all of it. For me, I continued the medicine/diet route and I saw little change. About a month and a half ago, I went to a facialist and she LITERALLY pricked each bump with a needle (it hurt a lot). She also did microdermabrasion and such. My skin was much smoother. She gave me
