  1. I've waxed and been fine. Mind you I'm on low does, but you might be a little red but it's nothing some aquaphor, vasaline, or A+D ointment won't fix. I've also heard that chewing half a tums before you go for a wax helps. I forget the logic behind it.
  2. I love the lotion. It is kind of expensive, $12.99 for the 12 oz. bottle but it lasts a long time. It's great for face, body, and especially hands. I'm a nursing student and my derm gives me the sample tubes of the cream to use with my constant handwashing. It's pretty amazing in my opinion.
  3. If the pimple gets really bad show it to your derm and let them remove it/pop it and whatever. I had a really bad one and my derm popped it and now it's fine. I have a tiny red mark where it was but she said it will fade over time.
  4. I'd go with CeraVe or Aveeno Ultra-Calming Night Cream
  5. I've totally been in your spot before. Don't worry. You'll be fine. The best thing to do is just not think about. Bring a parent, friend, spouse with you. Hold their hand and talk to them or have a conversation with the doctor. That helps me. When I was younger (and into my mid-teens) I used to bring my favorite stuffed animal with me as well. I'm not afraid to admit that it helped put me at ease. Don't forget to breath as well. That's why it helps to talk while their doing it. It ca
  6. Use plain old vasaline. It's cheap, easy to find and works wonders.
  7. Vasaline jelly works great at night. give it a chance to soak in and your face will feel great in the morning. My derm told me about it. She's amazing and IT WORKS!!!!!
  8. I use Vasaline Jelly on my face every night before I go to bed at the recommendation of my dermatologist and i haven't had any problems with dryness. Go ahead and try it. It is a little sticky at first but once you let it soak in you'll be fine.
  9. I personally use CeraVe Lotion and LOVE it. A lot of people also use Cetaphil or Aveeno Ultra-Calming SPF 15 Lotion. Eucerin makes a facial moisturizer with SPF 30 which has been successful for some people as well. Oh and Purpose makes a good one, too. Good luck!
  10. I use tinted moisturizers and neutrogena powder and it's been fine.
  11. Anything NON-MEDICATED and VERY GENTLE Examples Include: Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash Cetaphil Cleanser Aveeno Ultra-Calming Cleanser Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser Dove Basis
  12. I too have VERY dry skin especially in the winter. I learned a little trick from my derm though that really helps: instead of using lotion at night, spread on Vasaline Jelly. It is a little sticky until it soaks in, but you'll wake up in the morning and feel sooo much better. Good Luck! I'm starting my Accutane on Friday
  13. Ur breakout is prolly from the hormones. Sweating can actually be very benefital for breakouts because of it contains salt and most bacteria are unable to survive in salt.
