  1. You were in the same condition as me before, I too broke out incredibly bad once a year. I am currently on my 4th month of Accutane and there is no active pimple on my face anymore. To answer your question, I'm not sure how bad is your acne, but as for me, I stopped getting new pimples about 2 weeks into the treatment and I haven't had any new pimples since. As for the side effects, I didn't experience any horrible side effects thus far. The dry skin can be quite jarring if you don't use a moist
  2. hello, I have a question regarding treating my scars during accutane treatment. I am on my 4th month (2 more months to go!) and I have not have one new pimple for about ... 3 and a half month now (give or take), but these scars that was left behind from about 8 years ago is killing me. My face basically looks like it's been hit by asteroids all over (and my pores are HUGE). I still have Tazorac cream from last year, and I was wondering if I should apply it to my face before bedtime since I have
  3. hello, I'm currently on my 6th day since I started accutane and I notice that I've had about 2-3 headaches during this time (not major, quite minor) and I was wondering whether or not this is normal to occur so early during my treatment. also, earlier tonight after I got out of the shower, I had a nose bleed while blowing my nose. I'm not sure whether or not I should contact the doctor since everything seems to be a normal side-effect but I don't know whether or not it's normal for it to occur t
  4. well I was finally prescribed 40 mg Accutane for 6 months and I will pick it up from the pharmacy tomorrow. now I have read post saying that you SHOULD moisturize while on Accutane since it dries your skin out, but I have never moisturize my face since I was able to walk so I'm scared these moisturizer might break me out more. and also I will be using a b-prox 10 wash daily, it's the only cleanser I love since other cleanser seems to make my skin feel weird. so what do you think? should I moistu
  5. I'm using a cleanser called DCL - B-Prox 10 Wash. My dermatologist was the one who actually recommend this to me, so I don't know about my skin being immune and weak but I'll be sure to bring this up with the derm when I see him.
  6. Thanks for the reply guys. It seems like I will be asking my doctor to put me on Accutane when I see him this Saturday. I have another question though, I've been using Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser for as long as I can remember, and I love it. The question is, can I still use this cleanser when I start Accutane? or do I have to start using a different cleanser? Also, can anyone recommend me a good moisturizer that I can use while I'm on Accutane, something that doesn't make your face too oily. Thank
  7. Hello all, I'm new to this forum but have been extensively reading the site for a while now. Anyway, my acne have just gotten worse lately and I don't know where else I can turn to help me make my decisions. Let's start with a background about me so hopefully some of you can help me out. First off, I'm 22 years old going on 23 and I have had acne since I was about 14 years old and at that time my acne was BAD and I mean .. BAD. I asked my parents to take me to see a dermatologist since I bega
