  1. Unfortunately, I don't have any answers as I am going through the exact same experience. Redness, area, both diagnosis, etc...
  2. Ok. So I used Differin Gel to clear up my forehead. However, the derm told me to put it all over my face. I didn't go that far, but I did use the Differin for 3 months in the middle of my face and on the sides. Nearly 6 months after stopping, my face is still red in the exact areas I applied the Differin!! I didn't apply it in my beard area and around my mouth, so I have this weird, odd-shaped rash-looking thing on my face. The first derm said I had rosascea. The next derm said I had exem
  3. Hey Karyn, I hope this medicine is working for you. I'm in a similar boat. I used Differin gel for three months on the middle of my face and on the sides (temples). The areas became extremely red, and even after not using Differin for over 4 months, the redness remains. The derm told me it was exezema (sp.), but he didn't sound too confident. Anyhow, let us know how you're doing. Best of luck.
  4. If it makes you feel any better about going to see a psychiatrist, my skin is a lot worse than yours, but I'm going to see a psych because I'm letting this ailment control my life. Just don't forget that "help" isn't just for the skin... And, again, if you care, I do see some pinkness. Maybe it's worse and the pictures don't do it justice...
  5. Your skin looks pretty straight to me. Go to the derm and get some rosacea cream. It looks like you have some slight redness, but overall, you're straight.
  6. Is the MetroGel supposed to make skin worse before it gets better? I seem to be getting some small bumps. However, this might be because my skin is extremely oily and my pores are big. Ugh!
  7. I've recently been diagnosed with Rosacea. I've been using a tinted moisturizer (Kiehl's), but my skin is extremely oily to begin with (although dry on the cheeks), so the moisturizer just makes the shiny and oiliness worse. I've heard about green makeup, among other things, but I don't know much about makeup- I'm a guy. As such, I'd rather the makeup not be visible, but I'm willing to try anything at this point.
  8. My rosacea, just recently diagnosed, has become worse over the past few months and won't go away. Does what I eat matter? My diet literally consists of only the following things: Ground Turkey, Lima Beans, Diced Tomatoes, Corn, Boneless-Skinless Chicken Breasts, Brown Rice, Brown Noodles, Cottage Cheese, Eggs, PB&J, Tuna Fish, Apples, and sometimes cheddar cheese. Does anyone have a diet that has helped their rosacea? If so, please share!! p.s. I apologize if this topic has been posted
  9. I have been using Differin Gel for over 4 months now. The blackheads on my forehead have pretty much gone away. However, I still have periodic breakouts and red spots. Also, and more damaging, I stopped using the Differin on my cheecks 3 months ago, yet now I have a weird shaped rash on both cheeks. Further, the area around my mouth is really red, and I never applied Differin there. Finally, I applied Differin to the upper portion of my nose once, and now I can see more and more blood vesse
  10. 27-yr old male. I went to the derm a couple months ago because my forehead started to breakout in multiple blackheads above the surface. Some of them would become inflamed and red. I also had patches of red spots on my forehead. Anyhow, he told me to use Differin .1% once an evening. However, he didn't tell me anything else (literally, he gave me some free samples, and that was it). It's been almost 9 weeks, and my skin went like this: - In the first four weeks, I had a bad breakout with red p
