  1. I was outside for a bit today and was sweating so bad (it was almost 100 degress) and I came in and took a shower, and as soon as I got out I had this red rash on my left cheek. There's all these little red bumps that look like whiteheads (sandpaper look) almost in one spot, and a few others scattered around that area..but it doesn't burn or anything. I havn't had any breakouts lately, and never had anything like this. Does this sound like an acne breakout or heat rash?
  2. I'm not sure if what I have is just a pimple under the skin or a cyst?
  3. I have about 2-3 more light days of my period and I am starting Yasmin, should I take it this Sunday or next?
  4. I picked at the tiniest clogged pore..couldn't get rid of it so I kept picking stupidly. Now I'm left with a huge scab on my cheek (in addition to the clogged pore), I want to put neosporin on it to prevent scarring and maybe heal it faster? Good or bad idea?
  5. Thank youu I was looking online and saw a moisturizer with AHA in it, do you think it would be a good substitute for Dan's moisturizer? Are AHA's drying?
  6. 1. How do I incorporate this into the regimen? 2. Is it used daily or weekly? 3. What is the difference between an AHA and BHA? 4. What kind would you recomend?
  7. In 4 days I will have been on 200 mgs of Minocycline for 2 months. The first 3 weeks my skin looked great, I didn't get one new pimple and my old breakouts cleared very quick. But in the second month, while it still reduced my breakouts, it doesn't seem to be working as well as the first 3 week. My doctor told me it could take up to 10 weeks to see results but is it possible to become immuned that quick?
  8. I tried to leave lemon juice on my face for about 10 minutes and washing it off after. It stung horribly but for 2 or 3 days my skin was looking clearer and had a nice glow to it. Shortly after though I broke out in tiny tiny pimples all around my mouth and stopped using it, so I can't tell you about the long-term results. I do however mix a few drops into my moisturizer in the morning and it has a nice effect on my skin.
  9. I take Minocycline with food. My doctor told me to even though the bottle says not to, helps avoid naseau. I've been on it for two months and it's been working great.
  10. Do I have to do the reg. in the morning? I hate wearing anyyy products (especially moisturizer) underneath my powder makeup because after a few hours it begins to melt off. Can I do it at night only?
  11. I never got an IB from antibiotics, I think it's the only thing I've tried that didn't give me an IB. My doctor told me IBs from antibiotics are rare and generally antibiotics start working right away in preventing new acne, although it can take a month or 2 to clear up current acne.
  12. I got a facial yesterday with extractions and afterward my face looked awful. Every whitehead that was extracted left red marks and was inflammed...I woke up this morning and my face was not looking any better. All the spots are still red, and a little inflammed. They look like little red raised bumps (but not like pimples). What should I do?? If I just leave them alone will they go away?
  13. i just got a facial with extractions done about 6 hours ago and oh man does my face look awful, red spots everywhere! the esthetician seemed to have gotten a lot out, but alot of them are still really inflammed and look like pimples now, i'm hoping it'll heal nicely. does anybody know if inflammation hours after is normal?
  14. You can take it anytime, just take your doses at a consistant time everyday, 24 hours apart. And yes, you can take it 2 hours before going to bed. Just don't lay down for 30 minutes after taking it because it can affect absorption.
