  1. Which articles would you show a doctor to convince him? I know there's the sticky but its 6 years old. Lets not discuss why or why someone should or shouldn't try and convince a doctor. I am just looking for convincing articles.
  2. Rifaximin is a new antibiotic that stays in the intestines. It is used to treat many different bowel syndromes including IBS. I developed IBS 5 years ago. I believe it was a result of taking acne antibiotics years prior. I was told that I should try rifaximin. I don't want to go on another antibiotic. BUT. It is said to treat IBS and acne rosacea. These are my two biggest problems right now. I believe they are related. I don't know if I have acne vulgaris or rosacea.

  4. Good fatty acids, I take every day 5 capsules of natural factors rx omega-3 (3 grams of EPA and DHA), 3 capsules now foods super evening primrose oil (best and safest source of GLA) and 1 tbsp of grapeseed oil. It is also very important to reduce your omega-9 oleic acid intake to absolute minimum or else it won't work! 5. western lifestyle includes other countries other than the U.S. pretty much all of europe, some asian cultures, obviously canada, australia, all have "western" lifestyles. but there have been studies showing that current hunter gathers dont have acne. then who the hell is this guy? How can they study every hunter-gatherer tribe? Most of these people live in remote territory. Everyone can get acne. It's only human. How do people not understand this? Americans look at acne as a U.S epidemic

  8. like what http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/294804-acne-dairy-and-cancer-the-5alpha-p-link/ did you read that whole article? it was confusing but i believe it still only linked the IGF-1 in milk to acne and not other factors. The 5alpha p link was to cancer not acne 5alpha-P is a precursor to DHT. Did you read the thread? I had a hard time finding articles that mentioned DHT as anything more than a hormone that "plays a part in acne formation". I also dont think its that simple.
