  1. I am looking for a very gentle (and fairly inexpensive) exfoliating scrub to use once a week. I have only used St. Ives in the past (so abrasive!). Any other suggestions? Thanks!
  2. Thank you for your replies. Ya'll are very kind. I am pretty disposed to worry so after freaking out about a hip fracture (google-ing brought up things about needing screws put in, etc), I found this which sounds more plausible if anything did happen: Definition: A hip pointer is an injury to the pelvis caused by a direct blow, often seen in contact sports such as football. What happens when an athlete gets a hip pointer? A hip pointer is an injury is to the iliac crest, the bony prominence
  3. This morning I was walking out of my bathroom and somehow hit my hipbone against the doorknob. It hurt so bad I thought I was going to pass out. My focus got all fuzzy and my head started ringing. I had to lay down till I felt better. It started bleeding too but not much so I put a band-aid on it. I am so scared to look at though because I bet it is the worst bruise ever! Is there anything I can do to make it better besides waiting it out? Is it possible I did worse damage than just bruis
  4. I have Paula's Choice BHA gel. I know that BP works best if it is applied to completely dry skin so you wait 10 min at least after washing your face. Does this same rule apply for BHA?
  5. Thank you Wynne. I had been taking it and noticed a definite improvement in digestion but after reading one of the above posts I stopped. I am going to start again.
  6. I'm confused. I know it probably best to get fiber through food, but if were to take a fiber supplement, is pysllium husk okay or not?
  7. I can't answer your question as I don't really know, but I am using Zaclir (8%) as well. Let me know how it goes. I think I am starting to see results.
  8. I have been thinking about ordering the cleanser. It's non-comedogenic right? I know it doesn't stay on the face long but I don't want to take any chances.
  9. Just in case someone has the same problem as me, I will tell what helped. I looked up blood blisters online (with some really gross pictures) and it said to not pop them. Well, I already had. Anyways, it said to apply a zinc oxide cream to them. If popped, it said to apply antibiotic oinment. Since it was soft and filled up again, I applied some A&D oinment with 10% zinc oxide (basically it is diaper rash cream) overnight and when I woke up it was dried up, smaller, and forming a scab.
  10. I think I have something similar and I don't know what to do. I have been doing the DKR on my chin only at night for about two weeks and it has worked really well but I have this one small red spot that has been there for almost a month. BP has done nothing to it. Last night I decided I had to pop it (I was trying to be really good - I haven't popped anything in months). A bunch of bright red blood came out and now the spot is dark red and filled back up again. I put neosporin and a band-ai
  11. I have OCD, particularly fear of contamination like others have mentioned. When the compulsions or thoughts start to interfere with living your life is usually the sign that something is wrong. That is a fairly long list and if you feel like doing those things is interefering with your quality of life then it could be time to get help. For example, what would happen if you didn't have the gloves? Would you be able to pump gas or would you try to keep driving even if you're almost on empty?
  12. Thanks for the reply. Well I only used it about five times about a month and half ago. It was drying on certain parts of my skin but not all. I've read on the boards that washes don't do much so I stopped but some people have success so I'm confused! I am thinking about using an SA or BP gel instead.
  13. Hi, I started breaking out pretty mildly on my back and chest. My derm prescribed this Zaclir wash which is 8% BP. I don't really like it because it doesn't lather well. Has anyone had success with this wash or would it be a waste of time?

  15. I just got a sample of Paula's Choice 2% BHA two days ago. Basically I am using that on my cheeks/sides of face and using Dan's BP on my chin where my inflamed acne is. I was wondering if the BHA will help the noninflamed bumps I already have (my face feels so bumpy when I wash my face!) or just prevent new ones from forming?
