  1. After putting on Differin @ night, the next morning, my face looks soaking wet due to oil. I think it's making me break out, actually. My pores look a lil clearer, but I am getting more zits. You think switching to the gel will help w/that?
  2. Okay, So, now I'm on differin for 6 weeks. My skin is no clearer than before...and I'm oilier than ever before....I am thinking it's time to try something new....advice? I use the cream version...is the gel that much better?
  3. So over 4 weeks into Differin and still breaking out...should I hold on for a few more weeks?
  4. Okay, I was on the regimen and 4 weeks ago I added Differin. For a while I did one in the morning and one in the evening. It was doing pretty good for about a week, and then I started breaking out hardcore. I dropped the BP, and i was clear for about a week. Now, going into my fourth week, my skin looks bad again. I don't know what's up. I am going to give it 6 to 8 weeks. I have been oilier since about a week into differin, and I am using the cream.
  5. I started differin a little over a week ago. I've had a few more pimples, but MOSTLY I am seeing more whiteheads/clogged pores. Is this normal? I am hoping this is part of the 'initial breakout'. Although, I assumed the 'initial breakout' would be more inflamed zits and less comedones/whiteheads. Also, since yesterday, my skin's been EXTREMELY shiney.
  6. I readded the BP in the morning but with a thinner film. It seems to be fine now.
  7. I just started differin. So far so good. I was using it at night and BP in the morning, but I had to lay off the BP. Using both was burning my face.
  8. Oh my gosh! I have that problem on my forehead. I was using an astringent w/SA for about 7 months, and my skin got worse and worse. You'd think i'd have learned. It made me get hard bumps that you are describing under the skin on my cheeks & forehead. I quit using it, & my skin got MUCH MUCH better. My forehead is still recovering months later though. Dan's regimen helped ALOT, but not 100%. I just started Differin at night instead of BP and BP in the morning. So far so good.
  9. If I ever use both @ the same time, it DESTROYS my face...it makes me break out really badly.
  10. How long was the initial breakout? A few days? A few weeks?
  11. Okay, I am thinking of doing this. It doesn't dry out your skin majorly? Did any of you have an intial break out?
  12. I just don't want to see myself still getting the spots all the time and still waiting on it to clear 100% in 3 months when I could be trying something different.
  13. I'll try to make this short. I had mild acne about a year ago. I started using an astringent w/ SA. It cleared my skin completely for a few weeks. I started breaking out worse after that. I assumed it was stress. So I continued using the astringent once or twice daily for about 7 months. I finally realized that it was making my skin worse. So I stopped using it. I think the drying out of my skin made it produce more oil?? About a week later I started using the Neutrogena BP wash w/3.7%
  14. does the benzamycin work? I have the same problem. Regimen does pretty good except my forehead.
