  1. Hi! Thank you for leaving a comment. I know I haven't updated my blog as progress went on. It's been two months since I finished. I was on it for 4 months. And it worked!! My skin is back to being oily as before the accutane, but it's not a bother compared to acne. Looking at these pictures now, I am so surprised at how much my skin has changed! I can't believe my skin looked like that! Now it is so clear I don't even wear makeup lately. I just use some translucent powder to help control the o
  2. I use the cetaphil creme (which is greasy kind of yeah..), and then a thin layer of aquaphor in the places I know will flake during the day (nose, chin, corners of mouth). Then I apply MAC studio fix pressed powder with a brush. My skin isn't oily, and it doesn't go dry. The two products work well together for me.
  3. Im going to have to figure out how to do it too then
  4. I hope the regimen works for you Keep updating! By the way, what do you use to make a photostrip of your photos? That looks neat.
  5. Im pretty much at the same stage you are. Today is day 27 for me. I'm having the same side effects you are. I'm loving the dry hair the most!!!! And dry skin is such a plus too! Because I can't stand my normally oily skin. I'm also having the sunburnt skin. And my lips feel so tender, swollen, and red. They feel like they have no skin on them anymore. They literally hurt to the touch.
  6. I'd love to know how to keep my skin supple. Mornings I was my face with Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for dry skin (I think..), and use Cetaphil moisturizing creme (tub). I use Everyday Minerals mineral makeup (purchased online). I've been using it for 7 or 8 years. It doesn't dry out my skin, blends in real nice, has good staying power, and looks very natural. Night time, I wash my face with a gentle skin gel cleanser from AHAVA (purchased online), and use cetaphil moisturizing creme.
  7. Yep, it's really not too bad For the life of me, I can't remember if the dryness gets worse or not. But at least the skin looks better!
  8. So I haven't written an entry in a while, but I did snap some pictures of my progress. It's day 26 today. My skin has been pretty dry for a week now. I use cetaphil moisturizing creme (in the tub) on my face, and sometimes a thin layer of aquaphor on super dry spots at nighttime. My skin looks sunburnt and I hate that the most out of all of this. I can deal with the dryness (which I actually like because I am an oil slick normally) and I can deal with the initial breakouts too. But the sunbu
  9. Accutane cleared up all the types acne I had, so I can imagine it would clear up yours for sure
  10. Today I woke up to a bunch of pimples with the white heads (I don't know the terms). One of them was a big one with 3 white heads Lol, the mother of them all hahaha It's not bad, no.. but my skin is just so damn resistant to any other treatments. And every time I take accutane, it comes back within a year. Sometimes I feel like I will never be cured. Maybe this will be the magical time it will work. I would love the day when I can go out and wear minimal, if no makeup. I would love heal

    Help! Dry Lips!

I use Aquaphor. My lips are chapped and feel sunburnt. But not dry....yet.
  12. Oh, interesting post! I slather on thick moisturizer, oops. I think I will try cutting back. Or at least until my skin gets super dry, and then I will use more. Your acne sounds very similar to mine.
  13. Everything you are experiencing is normal at this point. I can't tell you much about headaches because I haven't really gotten them. And if I do, I don't attribute them to Accutane. I always blame it on the weather lol. I'm on my 8th day today. If you'd like, you can read my blog too. I'm experiencing the exact same symptoms as you! With the chappy lips, slow healing, slight dry skin, and still 'trying' to wear makeup lol. As far as I know, it's perfectly fine to take accutane and BC pi
  14. Day 8. Today is the first day I can safely say oil production is going down. My skin is a little more red and feels tight. I use a lot of Cetaphil creme and Aquaphor so my skin doesn't look dry/tight, but it sure feels like it. My scalp/hair is also less greasy, hooray! My lips are quite chapped but not super dry and not cracking yet. I have slightly more breakouts compared to Day 1, but most of them are just old pimples that have become more prominent. My pores also seem to be more visible,
