  1. And free of essential oils too. My skin is sensitive and gets irritated easily. I need a cleanser that's gentle but strong enough to prevent breakouts. I have been using this cleanser called "Derma E Very Clear Acne Cleanser" for almost two months. I noticed I'm breaking out more than usual, mainly on my forehead and cheeks. Here are the ingredients: Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 2.0% Inactive Ingredients: Purified Water, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxys
  2. Update: So I made a cucumber and turmeric mask last night. I can feel the zits on my chin drying up and the red marks seem less red. I am going to try a yogurt mask tomorrow (1Tablespoon organic plain yogurt + 1/4 teaspoon Simply Organic turmeric)
  3. I have red marks on my cheeks that i've been trying to fade for a year with very little success. They're stubborn red marks, no matter what I do they just won't budge. I break out a lot less that I used to, now I only get about 3 small zits a week. Is turmeric good for fading acne scars? Is it safe to use cucumber/turmeric masks every night? I have a very fair/sensitve skin and I am afraid the turmeric will cause yellow staining or make my acne worse. I use a salicylic acid face wash 2x a
  4. I was using Tri Derma Acne + Oil Control. I just bought Derma E Very Clear Acne cleanser.. hopefully it works just as good or better.
  5. Thank you for your reply and the link I just subscribed. That totally makes sense. I have been getting my protein from peanut butter, eggs, meat and nut butters. I consider my diet to be healthy but I figured I wasn't getting enough of certain nutrients. I drink 8 glasses of water every day. I eat plenty of greens, fruits, and veggies. I stay away from sugar unless it's in the form of natural sweeteners such as maple syrup or honey. I don't eat junk food or anything with refined, process
  6. It was the only thing that kept my acne mostly under control.. now I have to find a new cleanser I wish it wasn't so hard for me to find a product that isn't full of comedogenic/irritating ingredients. Every time i try a new product i break out like crazy. I'm also trying to fade the red marks on my cheeks and I can't afford to get any more
  7. Definitely get rid of the sugar. Sugar wreaks havoc on your hormones= leading to more acne. Switch to natural sugars like pure maple syrup, coconut palm sugar, and raw unfiltered honey. I would also stop wearing foundation. Your skin needs to breathe in order to repair itself. Can you please tell us what skin care products you use?
  8. After upping my protein intake, my breakouts have lessened. Does having protein deficiency cause acne?
  9. Awesome!! I just read that it's anti androgenic which is perfect for me because I have PCOS! I have been consuming more healthy fats and my skin looks a lot better
  10. I recently had a bad breakout from taking Saw Palmetto and it left ugly red marks on my cheeks. I have been eating a small handful of organic raw pumpkin seeds everyday and my skin looks smoother. Has anyone's skin cleared up from eating pumpkin seeds? Is it good for balancing hormones?
  11. I'm new here. I made this post to warn the other members about the dangers of taking saw palmetto. I'm a 27 year old female with PCOS and I have struggled with acne since I was 14. I'm not overweight like most women with PCOS are, I'm actually a bit underweight. The last time I had my hormone levels checked, it showed that my testosterone was slightly high. I also had elevated DHEA-S. My estrogen was normal. Last year I decided to take Saw Palmetto to balance my hormones. At first I didn't n
