  1. It's brand is "Jamieson" and the type of Zinc is "Gluconate". I know it's not a pill that you take and wake up and your clear the next morning, but, like, I don't know what to expect lol.
  2. Alright, so last Monday I started tasking Zinc two 10mg tablets a day, giving me in total 20mg of zinc a day. Now, I know I just started it, I decided to try it, because nothing else has worked for me, I'm 16 and I don't think I ever eat any foods that contain Zinc. Now I'm just wondering, how long it takes to start seeing results (if the Zinc is effective)? I'm taking Zinc and Retin A at night (I have been doing retin A for 6 months). Has this worked for anyone, teenagers in paticular? Just
  3. Alright, so I have had acne for 2 years, i'm 16 and I've been told my acne is strictly hormonal. I've tried all kinds of anti-biotics and creams, (most currently, retin A and Minocin). And nothing really seems to be working, so I ditched the dermatologist, and went to a spa that treats Acne. they looked at my face, and said they a whole bunch of acne laser treatments. but for my condition, they recommended me to go once every 3 weeks for a Salysilic Peel and then to spend some time under their "
  4. Alright, I've been using Retin A for about 10-11 weeks now. And I'm using Minocycline antibiotics for about 2 weeks now. I thought I was clearing up, BUT my dermatologist said my acne was getting worse so she put me on Minocycline. I've been using it for 2 weeks and Retin A for about 10-11 weeks. And about a week ago, I got a breakout, my face felt very itchy, etc. I don't think the Retin A is working, maybe the derm screwed up by putting me on anti-biotics. Is this normal what I'm expirienceing
  5. Alright so yesterday I hit the 8th week. I see a slight improvement in my cheeks, things seem to be getting lighter. Before I started Retin A I saw all these little white bumps on my forehead, now that I've been using Retin A it seems as though it's broughten them to the surface, and they are drying up and falling off (is this normal). So all in all not a HUGE improvement, but a slight one. So, am i on the right track? Help? The story dosen't end there. Today I went to my dermatologist, I've pe

  7. Anyways, my old threads are somewhere here. Anyways I'm going to hit 5 weeks on Monday. I use to have bumps on my forehead, and now all of them seem to be coming to the surface, I'm getting some on my cheeks, chin etc. I can't stand it anymore. The red marks don't seem to be going away that much either. It makes me think, perhaps I was better off with the red marks and bumps under my skin then go through this whole "Acne Fiasco" can't stand it much longer. I have a few questions though. 1. Wh
  8. Thanks for the response. No, I am not taking an antibiotic. Hopefully i see results. :)
  9. Sorry, i don't want to post in my other thread. But my question is, im not happy with the Retin A, my face looks to be looking like what it looked out on my initial breakout, and I just don't want to go through that all again. My derm, also again, precsibed my Clindoxyl gel, which I'm happy with. Should I tomorrow night start using Clindoxyl gel, let me know. Thanks!
  10. Thanks for the help, very useful. Im just wondering though, when do the initial breakouts start? And how bad do they usually tend to be?
  11. I don't think there are too many pimples under the skin, because a lot of them were cleared with Clindoxyl Gel, Benzaclim, etc. So there can't be that many, can there? What can I expect on the 3rd week?
  12. Hey, I know I'm new, but PLEASE listen to me anyways. I've had Acne for a bit over a year, and it's something that really annoys me, and makes me want to smash the mirrors. I've been driving my parents nuts with my acne. I've been going to a Dermatololigst for about 6+ months. I had my acne under control, and I was just dealing with marks on my skin, and little bumps under my skin. So I asked her what I could to to get rid of them. She presvribed my Retin A. I've been on it for 2 weeks, it will
