10-year-old Icepick + Boxcar scars. What should I do?
fedup1983 replied to fedup1983's topic in Scar treatments
Hi folks! I didn't end up going to Dr Rullan but just did microneedling at home (2mm needle) every month-6 weeks for the last year. Some improvement but not a huge amount. I'll post pictures in a bit. Question for @beautifulambition and @Quadboy - what are your thoughts on microneedling with PRP? I read a study that this yielded very positive results. I think I could find someone in the bay area to do this, but wanted to know if you thought this would be as helpful as TCA cross or subcision? -

@beautifulambition would you recommend going down to san diego for each subcision? would you happen to know good ones here in SF? i'm making an appointment for next week with Dr. Lavanya Krishnan and Dr. Andrea Hui. Have any of you heard of them? @Quadboy I'm too scared to do a TCA cross peel on my own. I know you recommend it, but it really freaks me out. Even doing microneedling on my own was a big step. I have the regular roller microneedle that I've been using with no adverse effects. Do y -

I've had acne scars for about 10-15 years. I've attached images below. My theory is that I got these scars after being on Accutane. I think they are icepick and boxcar type, but I'd love a second opinion. I live in San Francisco and have tried some fraxel laser but with very limited results. Tried some microneedling too, but have not done it regularly. I finally have some time off to devote to finding the right solution to my scars, and I wanted to seek some opinions from the community.

Hi guys, I know this question has been asked before, but my case is a bit different so decided to post a new topic. I have medium acne scarring on my cheeks (after accutane), a couple of rolling scars, two box scars and scarred pores and one hypertrophic scar. My regular dermatologist (whom I trust) has just gotten the pixel machine and is recommending that i go for it, while another doc in town (i'm from mumbai, india) has gotten the fraxel machine. Now the pixel is cheaper, and it will be thr

do you guys think i should go off it in two weeks (when my course is supposed to finish) and start with hormonal therapy ie the pill or should i continue? thanks for all your replies..this is just incredibly frustrating because it has affected my social life and self confidence so immensely. and i used to be someone incredibly comfortable with who i was...now i don't feel like stepping out at all. the scars are just so awful -
hi, i'm new to this and this is my story: i've been battling with moderate acne since i was 16 and i've even done one course of accutane when i was about that age..since then we discovered that i had a small hormonal imbalance which was causing the acne. i went on birth control, which worked great and then when the acne returned, a derm i went to suggested i go back on accuate. so i've been taking 20 mg for almost four months now and after a REALLY REALLY bad breakout which made my acne worse th
