  1. I am about to purchase about 10 grams of Hyaluronic Acid from China. It is injectable Grade and Crosslinked about 10%. Crosslinking makes it more stable after injection. It will not absorb out as quickly as Plain HA injections. Here is my question: After I reconstitute the powder in Injectable grade water and fill a glass syringe will I need to Autoclave everything or can I just do this: 1) Autoclave the water even though it is injectable grade I would still autoclave it. 2) Autoclave th
  2. AS long as you protect your eyes it is a very good way to treat skin. Its called Cold laser therapy. I use a 200mw laser. You can use Visible lasers green and red up to 300mw I read but be carefull not to hold it in one spot to long cause it starts to burn then. Move it around quickly. If you are unsure how to use the higher power ones stay away from them because they can BLind and burn the skin if held to long in one spot. Not burn but sting and burn if left for over 10-15 seconds.
  3. We have something at work that we use to mix reagents or actually Cells and serum and reagents. We call it a Zapper but the technical name is a High Frequency Generator made by Electro Technic Products, Inc. Model BD-20. http://www.electrotechnicproduct.com/pinhole.html It puts out way more energy than a dermawand but is similar affect. It stinks and causes Ozone. Is this a similar technology ? Anyone whith technical Knowledge would know it would be greatly appreciated if you could reply
  4. Thanks for the Reply. So would you say Dermablend has the same properties as a Bare Mineral makup or none at all? I know Bare Minerals will no clog pores and Dermablend will also not clog pores but is Dermablend a sort of Mineral base product? Is Cover Girl Cover Blend similar to Dermablend or not at all?
  5. The Dermablend company would not comment to me on this. They did not do the research to say that their products can serve as a sunblock but they did say their product does not clog pores. I am not sure if you can classify Dermablend products as a Mineral makeup or not. If you can then my question is answered. Here is my Question: Is Dermablend as good as a sun block as Bare Minerals Makeup? I had read from a post somewhere on acne.org, I don't remember which section that Bare Minerals is bet

  7. i am 99.9% sure that you posted this in the wrong forum...LOL i see your point. i can tell you to not wear sunscreen during your light therapy b/c it will make the light treatment useless. and sunscreen helps your red marks fade a little faster by protecting you from the sun. i think you'll get a much better answer in the "cosmetics and style" forum though. or the "general acne and products" section. Ok will post there thanks.
  8. I don't think so. Sun BLock is very important when you are doing light therapy or out in the sun after light therapy in my opinion.
  9. Are they about both equal in Sun block and not clocking Pores or is it only the Bare mineral makeup that does both?
  10. Is this also good to use as a sun blocker? I knwo Mineral makeup is but not sure if Dermablend falls in the mineral makeup category?
  11. This is just my opinion but I think any laser can actually cause more damamge than good. I beleive they actually make the skin look worste and you do loose Collagen and mostl importantly it disolves the precious fat padding we have in our face. We all tend to loose this Fat as we age through facial waisting an natural aging process. Lasers accelerate this process. Now at first your face will look nice and plump and it will form collagen at that time so you have that feeling that your face l
  12. I was setup to get 6 treatments for around $1200 but I backed out. I went to see a plastic surgeon and he said I have done too much laser and there is damage and he was not sure how much damage. I think he was referring to some hyperpigmentation I have. he said my face looked like I had a mask on becuase the hyperpimentation goes half way over my forhead and around my cheeks. I have a beard so it will tend to look like that. He also said if I shaved my beard I would have nothing but white s
  13. What is the best Non Permanent Filler that will last over 1 year? For CHeek Augmentation. WHat advantages does Radiesse have over Sculptra and over Juviderm/Perlane and Vice versa. Is it possible that these fillers can migrate downward from the cheek area into or near the lower cheek and jawbone area? I ask that question because you normally have to massage those Fillers so they stay even but will the massaging cause it to migrate away from the injection site?
  14. Exactly. Even this person said she had two Dermabrasions and Two Laser resurfacing's done by renoun Dr's and she ended up with a worste condition and the only thing that is making her look better in her case is the Silicone Droplet 4th photo from the bottom which I think was already posted here or somewhere else not sure. http://www.lamfacialplastics.com/index.php...52&Itemid=9 My point is maybe some light Micro's and or checmical Peels and only light and maybe some Liquid Augmentation
  15. Has anyone posted before and after photos. I know I have to do it soon, but my treatments were not with Fraxel and my Plastic sugeon said no more lasers and to see him in about 6months to 1 year because of what he believe's there could be skin damage due to the overuse of the Polaris laser at its highest settings. He is unsure though. I have Hyperpigmentation around the lower part of my forhead all the way down and around my Cheeks. I told him I never ever did any lasers to the side of my te
  16. Isn't it better to just try sculptra and HA(restylane) before you go permanent?
  17. That was another reason why I got the Polaris is to remove a hair and to better my Beard line. I wanted to avoid any shaving in the cheek area. I still have to pull hairs out its rediculous.
  18. Stay away from LAsers until you have theorally done your homework on them. MAke sure you check these forums etc before ever using any laser. It could be the way my Dr used it on the highest settings and about 2-4 passes on each Cheek area. THe Polaris uses around 900 nm laser diode and does use the radio wave as well but its Bi-Polar so it goes across the skin and not into the skin and into the Fat, so I am not sure why the laser did damamge to my skin or maybe Its because I am just aging? 4
  19. Yes I agree stretching the skin does help hide them. If you ever get a Microdermabrasion or Laser treatment what happens is the face forms inflamation called Adema and this is one reason why you face looks so good after a procedure. Your face is swolen and therfore the plumping affect is similiar to a stretching affect and tends to smooth out the scars. I woudl avoid surgical face lift and go with what they call a LIQUID face lift with FIllers like HA or Sculptra. THey are called Liquid fac
  20. WHich one is a better product? I can get a 32 oz of Isomers for about $125 which is a really really good deal. But not sure if its truly Copper Peptide formula as the SkinBio's?
  21. Well, many of the lamps (particularly the fluorescents, but also some of the LED based ones) produce a bit of genuine UV at the UV-A end of the spectrum. UV-A is the lower energy form of UV and is slightly less of a concern than UV-B. Also, as you noted 415 nm is very close to the UV. There's a graph I found of the sunburn potential of light, and the sunburn potential drops off exponentially as you move towards longer wavelengths. Extrapolating the curve out, by the time you get to 415 nm, the
  22. Is there a better brand or equivalent brand of COpper Peptide serum as in SKinBio's Brand? I saw a lisitng on Ebay for Isomers brand but not sure how it compares to SKinBio's? SkinBio's 4 oz in now $40.95 and was $36.95 a while back. Price went up too much.
  23. I like the short term effects but yoru right you go back to what you were a few days or maybe a week later. I woudl say maybe over time you might see affects. I still would like to know how long you need to wait before and after Retin-A?
