  1. Sometimes after stopping one thing for a month isn't long enough to see a change, it could take up to 3 - 4 months. However, It could also be fungal acne from some of your products.   2. Hey! Yes it will still be effective....please, please, please START SLOW! I am speaking from experience. You will have to build up your tolerance again. If it worked for you before, it will work again. Just be patient with it. Good luck.
  3. You can also try the acne.org glycolic acid to start off and see how your skin reacts to it. It has helped me a lot. Of course you will have to be patient with it.

    A few weeks ago I used the acne.org Glycolic Acid for 4 consecutive days...oops! My skin started peeling/flaking, it was dry and I all the moisture was sucked out of my skin. #lessonlearned.   5. The dryness is simply from the Benzoyl Peroxide. Make sure you are using enough moisturizer. Someone can correct me if I am wrong... but I think your face might look darker because of the rate of cell turnover that is happening. The dead skin cells need time to flake off and that may be why your face looks darker. Once you get to the point of using the AHA (if you choose to) I think it will help with this. Why did I stop you may ask?...My skin was clear and flourishing but Instagram and popular skincare caught my eye. I switched to another skincare routine and it seemed to be going well (BIG MISTAKE!!!) until my acne started to creep back in on my jaw line, then on my cheeks.
