  1. I've been doing this for almost a month now and I think it's really working! I still get occasional pimples but they're usually smaller. My back's complexion is already improving and I love the way my skin feels! Hopefully by summer my skin back there will be flawless! This is what I've been doing: I've been using apple cider vinegar that's been diluted to 5% acidity (It still actually stings on my skin when applied alone because my skin is really sensitive) and I mix it with one part water, le
  2. Hello, I've been reading a lot about Spironolactone on the forums here. It sounds like it works pretty good, but I've heard other people say that they got more acne when they started using it. I feel really uncomfortable when I get MORE acne and I tend to pick, so that sounds bad for me. At least right now, because I can't really see a dermatologist right now since I'm not going to college until next year (so that means I'm not in school right now) and my insurance plan doesn't cover me unless I
  3. I've been having a huge problem on the sides of my face. I used to get it really bad around my mouth.
  4. Oh, thanks! I didn't even know that section of the message board existed ^^;
  5. I found out after trying various new treatments for my acne that my hormones are to blame for my breakouts. I'm a 19-year-old female and I've been having breakouts since I was 11. I originally posted this thread http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php...;hl=frustration and I've been continuing with this treatment but my breakout now is worse than it has been in a few weeks. I noticed that about a week before I start my period I have really red breakouts. Meaning I get several inflamed zits th
  6. manfal and euromo, Thanks! I'm glad I got some feedback. Yeah I think I will keep doing the ACV and baking soda treatment, actually this morning my face looked clearer when I stopped using moisturizer last night (weird huh?) and yeah, my mom told me that my zits could most definitely be hormone-influenced also. It sucks though D: But well, I'll just keep doing what I started and see where it takes me. I'll also try using a wash cloth when washing my face, it sounds like a good idea!
  7. Hello, I've been watching these forums for almost a month now and have done quite a bit of research. I started looking into natural remedies because I've learned my lesson with buying products that claim to be effective but have no effect on me. I've even been prescribed Benzaclin before but it's way too harsh for my skin and actually ended up burning my skin. I have naturally oily skin also and EVERY moisturizer/lotion I've used, even the ones that claim to be oil-free only cause me to get more
  8. Does anyone know if this works for the face as well? I don't have severe acne all over my face, but occassionally I get "problem areas" that usually happen on my cheeks, around my mouth, or along my jaw and a lot of times have at least one or two cystic pimples. My face has red marks all over from scarring over the years also. I do have really sensitive skin though; I used Benzaclin in the past and it practically burned my face. I've also tried dozens of face washes from different brands includi
