  1. All I can say is continue what you are doing to help the pain, keep taking the pills in which you are directed...and everything should be fine within a couple months! Good luck!
  2. It'll take at least a month before you notice any types of changes with your skin...either breaking out or beginning to get better...I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have an initial breakout. Good luck!
  3. I had a brief time like this after I finished Accutane...but the hell has come back. I wish it would just go after someone else...but since that will never happen, I'm stuck with this unseperable flaw for...ever.
  4. I'm with Dan. Report all of his posts to an admin or a staff member and it will be taken care of. Thanks.
  5. Haven't checked in in a while....about a year to be exact. I've been breaking out occasionally (especially on my forehead) and may have to do another Accutane course, which is OK...but it didn't stay 100% clear as long as I wanted it to....oh well, we'll see what happens.
  6. I also had severe chapped lips on Accutane and nothing worked...NOTHING. Not even the special stuff the derm gave me. I forget what the name is. Good luck though, chapped lips are not fun!
  7. I'm like that regardless. It doesn't matter if my face is totally clear or not, I still find it difficult to make eye contact with people (especially girls ) and I also hate being watched...always have, and most likely always will.
  8. Retin-A did nothing for me...even when I was taking Doryx with it. But, good luck, and if you're on Retin-A in the summer, don't go in the sun too much...it'll make your face even worse. But good luck.
  9. When I was upped to 1 pill a day to 2 pills a day, I didn't recognize any breakout...but I guess it depends on each individual and amount increased.
  10. I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash...and it has 2% SA in it, and it is oil-free.
  11. Well, my face is looking better today...it always seems that it looks the worst at night, or after coming in from playing basketball. So, maybe it's not as bad as I think. I also decided that I'm going to start drinking more water!
  12. I'm just not social at all...I don't care if I'm rude

  14. I am on sort of a regimen...I use Neutrogena Daily Acne Oil-Free Wash...morning and night...and was using Clearasil Ultra, but I may stop using that because I have a feeling that may be making it worse. And I haven't been picking. And wrt to BP, Clearasil Ultra has 10% BP in it...so maybe I shouldn't stop. AHHHHHHHHHHH. So confused!
  15. Yeah, yeah, I know all you hear from me is "I had such great success with Accutane, now I'm clear as a bell, blah, blah, blah." Well, lately, I've been getting pop-ups on my forehead, and now even on my cheeks and nose. They aren't big or anything, but small pop-ups, and I fear I'm on the virge of a relapse. I've only been off Accutane for about 2 months, and my mom was clear for FIVE years after her first treatment, and I have only been happily clear for about a month. My mom says this may
  16. I've never tried it but I've heard that it works for some people. Good luck!
  17. Congratulations! I'm glad to hear that you've had success. Lets hope it stays, and like zitro said, keep using the medications to keep your skin clear!
  18. Wow, 120-240mg...my highest was about 60mg, and it worked wonders for me. Glad to hear that it worked for you!
  19. I think it did make me a better person. It made me feel that I didn't care what people had to say about me, and to this day I don't. As long as you're satisfied with yourself (and I was even when I had acne), that's all that matters. And you should be satisfied with yourself, don't put yourself down because you have acne.
  20. Wow, that post was very, very emotional. I really don't know how it is to lose a pet, but I do have a dog who is turning 7 (or 8?) this April. I love him a lot and don't know what I would do without him. I'll tell him that I love him just for you I know this is a very hard time for you, but remember all the good times you had with him...and remember, he's sitting right next to you right now. You may not see him, but he is!
  21. Hey man, I know how you feel. A few years ago acne was kicking in, overtaking my face, and slowly ruining my life. And I wasn't popular or attractive in anybody's mind. And I thought it would ruin my life. But, I started taking action. I went on every treatment possible before turning to Accutane...that cleared my face up, and slowly but surely I was becoming popular at school because I started playing for the basketball team. Now, I'm one of the most popular kids in the school, and actual
  22. I was on a similar regimen (Doxycycline and Retin-a) and unfortunately it didn't do to much for me...but since you said birth control pills helped you to begin with, I'm guessing it'll work now since now your taking doxy which helps as well. Good luck!
  23. I was taking 2 of them a day at one time...and the derm never told me to take them at the same time, so I don't think you HAVE to, but it may be recommended. In my opinion, it really doesn't matter whether you take them all at once or take them at different times during the day.
