  1. Ok, this is a bit of a departure... Is there a way to fit square pin CFL inside fixtures taking edison screw configuration? Basically, there are actinic 03 CFLs; these sound PERFECT. However, they're obviously not integrated; is it possible to get a ballast and an edison screw which would then work in a normal run of the mill fixture??? I have no idea how to go about doing this, and the Internet is completely useless, and it's just confusing me further. This page: http://www.bchydro.com/b
  2. Lumping refined grains and sweets together with red meat and blaming the meat for higher incidence of disease is not going to convince me. More please
  3. Sorry but this is an uneducated response. Please at least take the time to read my full post before warning me about something I specifically outlined already. Too much iodine is +36 mg's. No one gets that in a day really. The iodine scare is just another hoax by the medical industry to persuade us away from a healthy lifestyle without paying too much. Have you really looked into the average intake of "proper" iodine? It's no where near where it should be. This is most definitely another piece o
  4. They are supportive to animal food. That does not mean that their main goal is to ban vegetarianism. Yeah red meat is the devil. Please do post the studies you are referring to, I am genuinely interested. I practically live on red meat alone. I get 70-80% of my calories from animal fat. It's a perfectly healthy way to eat.
  5. The two bold lines caught my eye. For most, I believe these two functions are vital in relation to skin problems. So not just cosmetically enhancing obviously. Follow the test outlines in the article to see if you are iodine deficient. I will do so today. I'm thinking mine will fade before the 24 hour mark. We'll see. I'll keep everyone posted. No pics because I don't feel like shaving. I'm going to start on Prolamine Iodine. 1 tablet (3 mg) a day for a week. If I don't see results, I'll up
  6. That could be said about any and all studies. You don't think the soy industry have any lobbyists?? I find it hard to believe that this list of stuides is coming from the meat and dairy industry. Intake of soy should be kept at as small as possible. You are correct, it's not from the meat industry. West on a price and mercola is good material. Real good. Though if soy is not affecting him acne wise, it's okay I suppose. But generally it's not uncommon for soy to have adverse effects on p

  8. Probably "studies" commissioned by the meat and dairy industry.
  9. I've been thinking about actinics for a while now, and it seems to me that they indeed are the best bet. My question though: would the effect be 'stackable?' I really like the small 9w X 2 footprint, and would prefer it to anything else. Would three of those (for a total of 9w X 6) be as effective as, for example, beautyskin's 15w X 3? I don't see a reason as to why they wouldn't be, but I am far from an expert on this...
  10. Not having facial hair now may not be a problem, but indeed, think long and hard about this.
  11. Blue is not even close, red should be fine. The blue, if it can be called that, would be within UVC range, not something you want hitting your skin.
  12. I hate this crap. It happens to me too. This entire Winter (posting from Canada, so we're talking until the end of March) my face was close to perfect. Still a few neck pimples (my prime spot) and unfortunate bacne, but my face was CLEAR. I'm 25; my bro had acne until 25 and my father until 25 (bacne until 35!) so I thought, AHA, FINALLY CLEARING UP. No such luck. I'm having tons of breakouts this summer, it's ridiculous. Nowhere near like what I had when I was 18 (I've unfortunately got
  13. I have to say you seem to be quite a paranoid member. Spam generally falls into either amateur stints or professional 'pushing' of the product which in no way resembles the defensive attitude of a somewhat insecure gal... I'd recommend the lights myself, as light therapy generally achieves positive results. I do think they're slightly on the expensive side, but there is no denying that LEDs are still far more costly than fluorescents; there is a markup, a significant one, being put on these
