  1. hey franie. love your blog!

  2. Sometimes with scarring I think time and patience is the only way Massaging the skin is great though, use a very gentle skin care routine that is very healing to the skin. Spend at least 30 seconds massaging the cleanser and moisturiser in. The massaging will stimulate blood flow to the are which is healing. Using a good exfoliant is great too. Good luck.
  3. I've just written a list, or holistic approach I guess of what I did to help treat my skin. I'd love your feedback because I keep thinking I've missed something. I thought about copying and pasting it all in here, but it's easier if you read it from my blog: *Moderator edit, URL removed - read the board rules.* Blog posted below You know what I wish ..that I had some really good (or bad?) before shots. I have a couple but they're of my skin when it was recovering. Problem is when my acne was s
  4. Yeah, it's one of those fats that's really good for you. I read a lot about that when I was researching the oil.
  5. Interesting. I used it for 5 days before it broke me out.
  6. Please don't count calories, it's way too stressful and you'll get too hung up about every single little thing that you eat. I once gave up refined sugar and refined wheat ..actually all refined foods, and the weight just fell off me. I wasn't even trying to lose weight!
  7. I don't think milk causes acne, but I think it can aggravate it if something in your body is a bit off balance and you are suffering from acne. This is different for everyone though. If you have an allergy or sensitivity to milk then it's probably more likely to aggravate your acne. When my body was working well and my skin was clear for years, I drank milk every day without any problems. I stopped drinking it when I got acne last year ...I'm not sure if it really made a difference but hey, the
  8. Thanks for posting the link Tasha. Yeah, I thought it was GREAT and then I ended up with a heap of tiny little pimples. I'm still not sure why but I'll never do it again, in fact, I'm still recovering now. I think I was either allergic to the coconut oil, it pulled out a heap of toxins that were buried in my skin, or it did what that quote said that I've linked on my blog article. Either way, I'm unsure of how good it is to apply topically and I personally won't try it again! I haven't experim
  9. Wow Bob, you're very poetic. Thanks, you've both helped me heaps
  10. I actually recorded a couple of videos on my progress and the 'results' of my experiment. You can go to my blog http://www.highonhealth.org and search for 'maca', or you can just go here: http://www.highonhealth.org/watch-this-vid...cure-your-acne/ Strawberries- That's so strange how it made you get cystic acne! It actually cleared up my cystic acne. I had more of a problem with it making my blackheads and whiteheads worse. sie- Yeah, the Maca was okay. I'm still a bit confused with it ...it'
  11. That's awesome :) I'm so glad you like it.

  12. Hi Fran! I just thought I'd let you know that I'm loving highonhealth.org! I'm definitely a fan!

  13. Raw milk is illegal in Australia, but they sell 'Cleopatra's' milk, which is supposed to be only for skin care. However, it's totally safe to drink, and loads of people do You could look in your health stores for something like that.
  14. I think acne is caused by SO many factors, but I think stress, especially in adult acne is a huge cause. How do I know this? Because I have a predisposition to getting acne but I never really had a problem until last year. I'd always get a PMT spot or two but nothing to ever worry about. And I ate whatever I wanted (I have a sweet tooth) and washed my face with whatever I wanted. I had no idea that problems or forums like this existed. Then last year I split with my long term boyfriend (as in
  15. Hey thanks for that info. I was given a bar of really good quality goats soap for Christmas which I haven't used yet. I was looking at it the other day and wondering if it's okay to use on my face. I have very dry skin so I always thought that anything in a bar form was too drying for me. I might do a search for that regimen ...
