  1. It's strange how some people can put OIL on their face and their acne gets better. Any time I've tried it, one thing has happened: more pimples. Always.
  2. okay, so some articles that I read convinced me to stop eating oils that aren't cold-pressed (or butter). apparently, they often contain lots of PAH and other bad stuff... so I'm gonna go with cold-pressed oil and butter now. I already have olive oil and rapeseed oil. the olive oil tastes great, of course - the rapeseed one tastes kinda funny ("nutty" they cunningly describe it on the label) but mixed with olive oil I don't feel the taste anymore. but is there any cold-pressed oil that has a mo
  3. What I do is, first I drink some water to wet my mouth and throat. Then I take a large sip of water that I hold in my mouth, and THEN I take the pill and swallow it together with the water. That way, I usually hardly feel the taste of it, and it slides down really easily. Tasting the pill, if it tastes bad, can sometimes make you feel nauseous, and that certainly doesn't help when you're trying to swallow something! Oh, and also, feeling the pill in the mouth could probably start some involunta
  4. From what I read on a website that sells the milk thistle seeds whole, the active substances in it don't dissolve well in water, so a herbal tea would be a waste. It says to make extracts in glycerin or alcohol. So taking milk thistle capsules with water wont allow it to work correctly? Oh, yes, of course it would. Then you actually swallow the extract. But when you make tea, you strain the leaves/seeds. And there won't be much of the active substances left in the tea that you drink.

  6. I eat regular butter and organic butter, there is basically "butter monopoly" here so the butter is the same brand all over. It's good quality stuff so I don't mind. Oh and the sales for butter has increased and margarine sales have dropped latley in Sweden! Yaaaay!
  7. I personally love Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel (gel, not lotion!!). It has NEVER clogged my pores or caused any breakouts for me (kind of a first for me!). It is truly mild and soothing. Really nice texture and feel. For something even more moisturizing, try their "moisture surge". It makes the skin feel really plump and nice, and still, you guessed it, not pore-clogging. As mentioned, for a cheapo alternative, glycerin and water is great!
  8. I have acne that is kinda controllable with the right skin care products... However, my skin is still VERY oily, and when I'm about to get my period my skin is out of control I get cystic stuff, mostly around my mouth but sometimes also on my cheeks. Last time I had my period I didn't get any MAJOR zits though - I'm hoping that it's because I've steered clear from dairy. I've had luck with Proactiv's night lotion that contains some retinol, though unspecified amount. It can't really do much for
