  1. Hey guys.....I used to work for Bare Escentuals (Bare Minerals) for 5 years. I found that a lot of women had irritation with it. They called it the "itchies". It seems to happen especially when you sweat. I found out that it is from the Bismuth Oxychloride. I created a line on my own (www.christopherdrummond.com), without Bismuth, with very little Titanium Dioxide (another irritant), and with a special antioxidant that nobody else has!!!!! I hav been told that it is lighter, smoother and
  2. Is it Juice Beauty? www.juicebeauty.com it's an organic glycolic-based product. Very good. I don't recommend PTR. Definitely use MD Formulations over that. It is a professional line that is amazing. Juice beauty.....it's an organic glycolic. www.juicebeauty.com
  3. actually I will be using olay complete sensitive skin moisture lotion SPF 15. Forte is a great line....just be careful...don't get overzealous. Just start out with the face wash for the first week. Then use the treatment product every other day until your skin is used to it.
  4. I want to explain glycolic acid a little bit. I am a licensed estheician, and I LOVE it. However, it is very easy to misuse it. On a lot of people, glycolic acid is very irritating. Even if you have oily, acne-prone skin. If you use it incorrectly, you can do serious or irreversable damage. Initially, you should never start using glycolic every day. I know how it is. Your skin is so bad that you just want the acne gone, and you're willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of it. But keep t
  5. well, she hasn't worn it for two days now and her face is still red. We'll see how it looks tomorrow. *****if the face is still red, DON'T PUT MORE ON!!!! you have burned the epidermis!!! that is a reaction that is telling you something is wrong. When applied properly glycolic should NEVER turn the skin red....a little pink, yes. If you burned your hand on the stove would you say, "hmmm...I am still red and burned. I think I'll put my hand on the hot stove again tomorrow and see if I g
  6. A few questions: what percentage were you using? was it just glycolic, or was it mixed in with a moisturizer? Was it a "peel?" Where did you get it from? These are really important questions. On a lot of people, glycolic acid is very irritating. Even if you have oily, acne-prone skin. If you use it incorrectly, you can do serious or irreversable damage. 7. I own a makeup company that is organic, vegan, and all natural. I love organic products. I don't like having chemicals on my face if I can prevent it. As a makeup artist, I don't like to put chemicals on others either. However, as a former acne sufferer, and skincare expert, I believe that you can only go so far with organics in the fight against acne. I think Dan Stern has a great program Here. BP has been around for years because it works. I also love glycolic acid and salicylic acid.
  8. Avoid soy if you have acne. It has an ingredient that mimics estrogen.. excessive hormones are known to cause acne (that's why women break out at that time of the month). I became a vegetarian when I had bad acne, and thought that would clear up my skin. I ate tons of soy instead of meat. I broke out HORRIBLY. When I stopped the soy, the breakout subsided. I then learned through a medical journal that soy caused an increase in hormones. This is also why it is good for women going through
  9. Hi everyone.... I am a former acne sufferer. For years, I had to deal with it. On top of it all, I have dark skin, so I dealt with hyperpigmentation (dark spots). It was such a horrible experience, as you all know. I got into skincare 12 years ago. I became an esthetician. I studied all forms of treatments. I tried all forms of treatments. I talked to dermatologists, estheticians and acne sufferers, and this is my professional advice, and I guarantee it will work. I am not selling prod
