  1. Nah, should i request a doctor to scrape it and test it? Will that finally see what it is? These derms i have been to suck ass, i swear Dermatologists are fake doctors, they took the easy path in Med school, could have gone into Orthopedic surgery but got lazy
  2. I dont know if this is the correct board but For years i have had this, but no doctors have really been able to help me. I have tried to get help from this site as well but unable to. I cant get my dry skin to go away, it is like a fungus that grows ON TOP of my skin, and the only way to get it away is to roughly scrub away with a towel after i get out of the shower (i do this once a week). But after i do this, my skin gets EXTREMELY red for a few days, because of the scrubbing away of th

  4. i feel like i have zero personality, really boring. I have been able to communicate with people, something that was hard a couple years ago because of social anxiety and shyness, but now i am able to talk with people easily, but i just seem really boring. I was never this way before acne, that shit destroyed my personality, also it is pretty hard to carry a conversation, or keep the conversation interesting. It is okay for a little bit but then it always dies, damn, these are weird problems f
  5. I'm 22 and have never drank before. I find it hilarious that you think it's sad when someone doesn't drink. My dad was an alcoholic when I was a baby, I'd never want to put myself in the position to become one. First it's social drinking, then you start drinking alone and it spirals out of control. Lol typical reply of someone who has never drank. "First you are drinking for a good time. Then you are all by yourself squeezing out every drop of a bottle found in the trash cause you are h
  6. I think its sad that you dont drink. Anyway. Drinking is fun, i love alcohol just like the TC. Dumb people in this thread talking like the TC is an alcoholic. It is okay to get drunk every weekend, it is the thing to do when you are young. If you missed out on this phase then i feel bad for you. And yes it does help with social problems, and sometimes if you had a rough week, just erase that shit in that one night with some Yager lol
  7. You are doing the right thing getting on Accutane. Just dont fuck around with it cause you dont want to end up it not working and having to take the drug years down the line again Get on accutane, get clear, and enjoy college.
  8. I think ill probably try less washing from now on, maybe just once a day or so. (I normally do twice, once in the morning shower and once before bed) I also looked up those Clean and Clear oily blotting papers that AcneSlayer mentioned, and they actually have been getting good reviews, so i think ill try those out, they are inexpensive, hopefully they work!
  9. Yeah, took about a month or two and the skin became even more oily then before i was on accutane. I dont think its normal too, but then again, my acne coming back isnt normal either. The whole accutane course was a mess and ended up doing more harm then good since it didnt even work, but ended up scarring my skin up badly, and making my skin red, ALL THE TIME
  10. Thanks for the suggestions guys and girls. And a question about the less washing technique, do you still take showers? When you say less washing, do you mean with a soap or cleanser on your face, or just water period. Meaning you only take a shower once every 2 days? Or you only wash your face with the cleanser every 2 days
  11. Yeah i got off accutane a few months ago, and the oily skin CAME BACK. Not to mention, once i started to get oily skin, the ACNE CAME BACK. So its been pretty depressing, my face is completely ass right now, plus the greasy skin can be seen from a mile away. And even if the room is dark you can still see someone with greasy skin, so im fucked
  12. What do you use to blot? Towels you keep with you or what?
  13. Doesnt oily skin cause acne? My skin is always oily, even an hour after i get out of the shower, adn by the end of the day it looks like my face is wet. WTF can i do to stop this? Are there any special pads or something that actually work? Some suggestions would be appreciated...
  14. Im filling out this medical history sheet for my new job, and there is a huge list of diseases and stuff such as history of cancer, heart disease, headaches, etc. And one of them is skin disorder. Should i check it?
  15. I just got off accutane, literally like a month ago, and have started breaking out again. It seems to be getting worse, i dont know what to do. Im starting back on ziana a topical, some bullshit that didnt work before i got on the accutane, but my derm is convinced it will work now, but whatever. If it doesnt work, is there a chance that one day my acne will just disappear? I am not going on accutane again, i cant put myself through that shit again
  16. Yeah i read up on some information about antidepressants, they actually sound pretty bad, pretty dangerous. Does counseling or therapy or whatever actually help? Does it build some confidence?
  17. There are a lot of days where i feel down and stuff, dont like who i am. I am not suicidal, but me being down all the time sometimes affects my work, and school. Do antidepressants make you cheerful? Do they make you more outgoing, more social?
  18. If it includes getting rid of my disgusting scars and redness, then i would take the clear skin of course, just like you. If you added 3 more zeros though, i would change my mind
  19. man dude i hope you are right, was very discouraging seeing new acne start forming after suffering for 6 months on that shit.
  20. Finished my course like 1 month ago, and sad to see acne slowly coming back, granted it is not a lot, just small bumps, no real big zits or anything, but it worries me because i am scared that this is just the beginning, and it will continue to get worse. I talked to my derm and she said to use Ziana, which is a topical retinoid. I am not sure about this simply because i was on Ziana for a year before accutane, and it didnt work very well. Do you think this is a good idea? Maybe the accutane
  21. thanks for the responses everyone I use cetaphil gentle face wash. What are some suggestions that you guys have with the microbeads, that wont cause breakouts? (skeptical about changing cleansers cause of breakouts)
  22. Yeah but if i dont rub hard then it doesnt come off? Like my dry skin is weird. On Monday there will be none, then on Tuesday there will be a little, then on Wednesday there will be more, then on thursday there will be even more Is this normal? Is it supposed to increase like that?
  23. My cheeks get a build up of dry skin that i rub away about once a week. Is this normal? It is pretty nasty, if i dont "rub it away" it will continue to build up more and more, so i am forced to do this once a weeek. It is pretty tough so when i say rub away, i literally mean im rubbing at my skin, irritating it. My skin is always really red after this. Is this considered exfoliating?
  24. Hell yeah Go Skins! I live and die the Redskins And god damn i just want to be able to talk to girlssssssss... Like i said im not a depressed person, i can live and function in this world with my face, but the one thing i cant do is try to talk to girls cause it always ends up awkward cause i know theyre like wtf is this ugly looking dude. Fucking sucks, see so many beautiful girls everyday at school/work/wherever
