  1. @Grooving Till Old, Till [email protected] Oh man, I am so sorry y'all! I didn't get notifications that you commented! These are great pieces of advice and I'm going to incorporate them into my life. I kind of dropped this for almost a year, but now that I've remembered it, I'm going to try again!
  2. I've offically decided to restart the count. The past few days I have been terrible about not picking at my skin, so I am just going to redo the whole thing! Tomorrow will be day one again, so I'll see y'all then!
  3. I have CRAZY delicate skin and for the longest time couldn't use most types of makeup wipes, including the one's that claimed they were for sensitive skin. I think some of my favorite products I used when my skin was at it's most sensitive was Vanicream's cleansing bar, Simple's micellar water, Cetaphil's cleansing cloths, and Fresh's soy face cleanser (this one is a little pricey compared to the others). All these brands are fantastic for sensitive skin! None of them ever caused my skin to stin
  4. Days 7 and 8 are almost worse than 5 and 6 in terms of picking. I'm not really sure what triggered it, but my skin flared up and I guess I just started to pick at it without fully realizing I was doing it. So now I have a bunch of bright red and inflamed spots on my face. This is such a frustrating habit!! I feel like I need a shock collar thing for whenever I get close to picking my face, ugh. I don't know why I am so drawn to doing it!! it feels like I'll be doing this challenge forever. I
  5. Day 5 and Day 6 have not gone super well regarding skin picking. I'm beginning to think I may not be able to make it through 21 days??? I know that kind of thinking is basically a self-fulfilling prophecy, but I'll find myself doing it subconsciously. So frustrating!! If anyone else is struggling with this, you are definitely not alone because I am having a difficult time managing it. I'll technically have to start over because that's the rule I gave myself, haha. So, if I do it perfectly, I'll
  6. I'm combining Days 3 and 4 because I forgot to post about them! I'll come back later tonight to update about today, Day 5 Day 3 was pretty similar to Day 2 in that I didn't have my water bottle within arm's reach and found myself multiple times about to pick at my face but able to stop myself. It's a really strange habit because I KNOW my skin looks so much healthier and it feels a lot better when I don't touch it, but I still compulsively pick at it. I think it's partly because it's weirdly
  7. Day Two has been rough emotionally. I was really stressed losing the keys to my apartment, but thankfully I found them. I also received an email from the program I applied to and found out I was waitlisted for it. I was so afraid that would happen and cried for a few minutes because this means that basically my life for the next year or two is still up in the air for the next few weeks. The school is honestly amazing and I feel so called to the program I applied to. Finding this major was such a
  8. Day one went really well and I learned a lot of things as the day went by. Right now, most of my acne is on my cheeks. There aren't a lot of pimples but there are lots of red marks from my last breakout. I started a new regimen that includes washing my face with African Black Soap, using ACV as a toner, and moisturizer. I also take Vitamin D3 and Zinc as supplements and I think my skin has been slowly clearing! As for the picking, yesterday I did a great job of drinking from my water bottle wh
  9. First post! I am planning on taking a photo when I wake up and one before I go to bed. I'll write about how the day went in terms of picking and describe the photos. I hope this helps with my bad habit! See y'all in the morning!
  10. Thank you for this post! I definitely have a problem with skin picking. Maybe not quite at a dermatillomania level, but at least at a bad habit level. I think I am going to try the water trick because I don't drink enough water anyway and I know that picking causes scarring. Also, definitely avoiding the mirror! This had helped me think about why I pick at my skin so thank you. I hope you're doing great!
  11. Feels refreshing

I started using this about a week ago and it has definitely helped with redness! My skin tone appears more even now and the red/dark spots from pimples calms down faster when I use it. I am also getting cysts and papules less frequently. I made a 1 part ACV to 4 part water mixture and use it once a day on my face before I go to bed after washing and before moisturizing.
  12. Miracle for Delicate Skin

A few years ago, my dermatologist recommended this lotion to me along with their ointment due to extremely flaky eyelids. It completely got rid of the flakiness without irritation! I use this once or twice a day to keep my face moisturized and it is one of the only lotions I have used that does not cause my face to burn. I even used this on a sunburn on accident once and again, no irritation! If you have crazy delicate, combination skin like me, this is amazing!
