  1. Hi, It appears no matter what moisturiser or serums or toners I used I always seem to get spots. Everything is trial and error so gone down the oils route. I've got Jojoba, Grapeseed, rosehip, sweet almond and tea tree oil. Been using a couple of drops of grapeseed and rosehip together day and night. It's been OK nothing spectacular as of yet. I think I have combination skin (oily and dry) particular t-zone is oily, cheeks are dry. My skin is sensitive too and I have sebor
  2. Hey, I have seborrheic dermatitis generally behind my ears but I think I've got that red, scaly skin on my forehead and it seems to become more apparent when using certain products. I've had acne for years and wondered if anyone else has had seborrheic dermatitis and acne together like myself and what you used? Is there a link between both? I get acne on the t-zone and neck. I'm now 33 and had acne since the age of 13/14

Hello ladies and gents, 33 year old male in the UK here. Had enough of still getting acne. Wondered if anyone over the age of 25 would share their experiences of Accutane? I'm thinking about doing it but the side effects and everything is a concern.
  4. Hey, I've got some oils I've bought but never really used like Castor oil, Rosehip oil and Frankincense oil. I've tried jojoba oil but not consistently as I seem to find after I've used to I start to break out in spots. My skin is an oily t-zone, dry cheeks but I get dry flakes under the oily t-zone. I've tried a couple of drops of Frankincense oil with my moisturiser past couple of days doesn't seem to bad but not really done anything for the dry flakes. How have people go
  5. Hey guys, Getting really frustrated. It seems no matter what I use on my face I always seem to get a reaction from my skin. My skin is sensitive but has a oily t-zone but can get dry really easy if you know what I mean? sometimes it hard to determine what my skin type is! I'm using Epiduo one maybe twice a week (I probably should use it more) I used Vichy Mineral 89 serum + Avene Extreme Emulsion which worked for a bit then broke out (that could have been because of starti
  6. What moisturiser did you use? is Differin same as Epiduo?
  7. Hey, I've been prescribed Erythromycin by a dermatologist for 2 months and been given another 2-month batch. First few weeks were great but last month or so I've been breaking out. I've always acne in the t-zone area. What I have noticed is I get bad stomach complaints. Trapped wind and discomfort that makes it hard to concentrate on anything. Was bad for the first two weeks and I went and saw a GP who said it will be like that for a couple of weeks and it should subside.
  8. Hey! I've been seeing a dermatologist the past year or so. I've tried different antibiotics (currently been on Erythromycin for 5/6 weeks) and have the Epiduo cream at the moment but all have had mixed success. My dermatologist has recommended that I should try Accutane but I've read the side effects, both physically and mentally, can be terrible and has a link with depression. I've said no to it when asked. I've suffered from depression in the past and my skin does affect my mood and
  9. Hi there! I just wondered how long I should give products to see if they are right for me or not? is it for a month or more? I was using Cerave moisturising cream but now changed to Avene Tolerance Extreme Emulsion and a serum called Vichy mineral 89 serum. Been using these for a couple of days now. Just have a breakout around my chin. Possibly could be down to little sleep and stress. Any help is appreciated.
  10. Hello ladies and gentleman, just out of curiosity I wondered if anyone has had any success when stopping putting products on their skin? 33 year old male here still getting breakouts usually on t-zone (but mostly around the jaw) and the neck. Trying changing my diet (cutting out dairy, trying to cut down on sugar) and stress as I do get stressed quite often. Been told by a dermatologist not to exfoliate and use little moisturiser as possible. I have pale, sensitive skin with an oily t-zone. Be
  11. @Silavana I do have a Bioderma micellar water in my stock of products but only used it once before I had a shower the other day. I mainly just use water to wash my face. I've started using a Cerave moisturiser at the moment (the large tub for dry skin) and just trying to put less is more (which is hard to do when I see small flakes close up)
  12. Thanks @klessardI shall have a look for that moisturiser. I started using the big Cerave tub moisturiser for dry skin. I use it very sparingly on areas I get flaky skin. Is there anything else you would recommend?
  13. I visited a dermatologist about two months ago as I've struggled with acne near enough all my life (I'm 32) and he told me I should limit using moisturiser. I've been Epiduo for a few months and Doxycyline 100mg tables and while I've been taking the tablets, I haven't been putting the Epiduo on my face every week. I try once or twice a week when I can. I started putting the moisturiser on in the morning and not in the evening after a shower and lone behold a week later I had a breakout. I
  14. I've been reading sunscreen is important to wear for acne suffers. Wondered if anyone could recommend one for sensitive, acne prone skin? Also can you use a moisturiser then put sunscreen on afterwards?
  15. Been on Doxycycline 100mg for about 3 months now. Initially had great results my face was clear but since last week I've started breaking out and got a cluster of small spots on one side of my chin. I wondered if this is just the medication causing a purge or is it no longer working? I've been told to complete a six month course then ween myself off by taking one every other day or asking for a lower mg. I had been using probiotic supplements at the same time on a couple of occasions and I wo
