The Oil Cleansing Method. Negative Experiences

Tried OCM for a few months (July 2017-mid December 2017) and while it felt like my skin seemed less oily, it has caused some really bad cysts that for the first time in a long while, have left some really bad hyperpigmentation marks that are slowly fading but still quite noticeable. Usually my hyperpigmentation marks fade in 2 weeks tops, but cysts I had back in September still show signs of having been there.
  2. Hmm I used to be on prescribed BP in the form of Benzaclin for many years. If I didn't have a prescription, I'd alternate with Dan's BP. For the most part, it helped suppress breakouts and like you, I felt that I wanted better skin without needing to rely on BP. I think the last time I used it was... 2014? Since then, I've been sticking to tea tree oil which is supposed to be less harsh and because it's natural, it won't cause long term damage. The transition was a little rough at first as I was
  3. CVS. and my skin was sooo oily I could lotion both my hands with the oil. That's how bad it wad. My forehead, nose and chine was the worst. Now I just blot on occasions.

    1. Hey I read a comment of yours about Cerave and how it reduced your oily skin. I was wondering where you bought it and how oily your skin was before you started using it.

      1. hmm never thought about slowly tapering or whatever the term is. i've suddenly quit on many times and i believe that that explains why i break out like a beast right after stopping. interesting. thanks for the advice.. never freakin thought about this. well i actually decided to taper as of now and with 11 pills of doxy left, how would u suggest i taper coming from taking doxy 2x a day?
      2. Hmm. I read that jojoba is an essential. I do have it but if I get enough evidence that it's a carrier, I guess I can save myself some money.
      3. I have been using all sorts of antibio pills for 8 years and I have gotten only worse since then. I've tried mino-doxy-tetra cyclines, dicloxacillin (but i believe i may have taken it wrong), and about 3 or 4 other types. I'm taking doxy right now only because I know for a fact I break out when I'm not on an antibiotic. In August, I had a severe set of pimples all around my scalp and this was during a time in which I took no antibiotics. Now, I'm using Doxy 2x a day and the scalp area is muc
      4. So I've been doing some reading on essential oils and it seems that Rosewood (for less sebum production), Lavender (antibacterial properties), and Tea Tree (similar to lavender) oils are what I need since I have ridiculous oil production, various and recurring inflammations (despite being on doxycycline), and whatnot. I also read that its best to dilute them in a carrier oil such as grapeseed. Is it recommended to mix rosewood, lavender, tea tree, and grapeseed oils all in one? Would this b

Organic Apple Cidar Vinegar on Redmarks

Actually I found that once you keep in refrigerator for a while and it gets cold enough once u put it on your face the smell fades away quite quickly. What do you mean to a certain extent because i have seen many cases where it faded peoples marks completly I didn't know that. Thanks! I'll keep that in mind in case I ever want to use it again. I used it as a toner when I had acne and if it's supposed to combat red marks, it didn't do that because I have a bunch now that the acne is pretty muc
      6. hey everyone. i've been switching through different regimens for the past year because everything i tried has been giving me bad-minimally good results. i feel like what i'm doing wrong is not properly lathering so i was wondering any tips on how to lather well and if anyone could find the time the post a video of them lathering on youtube or something because i feel like i've been washing my face wrong for the past 8 years. i'm now using neutrogena rapid-clear oil eliminating foaming cleanser.

        Celebrities With ACNE breakouts

while on this topic i would kill myself (no i wouldn't) if my current top 3 favorite female american celebs have moderate-severe acne. and they are (in no order)... LATOYA LUCKETT (one of the first black celebrities i fell in love with), BRENDA SONG (gorgeous asian girl on the disney channel), and MARIAH CAREY (no need for an extra comment).

        Celebrities With ACNE breakouts

because of acne during my high school and early college years, i really did not know where to go because of friggin acne. just recently i came to discovery that since i'm so really into singing and dancing and have a longing to be on stage that i really want to be like nsync or something. in other words, i'd like to be a celebrity as well. i think i can turn out to be a decent looking asian guy. reading about justin timberlake really inspired me. i really look up to how sexy he is in his early

        JOJOBA OIL!?

so yea i've read that jojoba oil resembles that of human sebum. i would really like to know where i can get some in any form, though preferably in a moisturizer as i have massively oily skin. also, would there be any moisturizers you guys would recommend. thanks to all who respond. i currently have been using neutrogena oily/combination moisturizer but it doesn't do a damn thing but i don't know what else to use.
