  1. I just felt like I had to say this. Lets all be honest here and realize that we are all shallow and superficial at some level. And excuse me ladies, but you tend to be the the more shallow and superficial sex as a whole. Not only that, but you don't have to make any moves and you will still have guys approaching you if you are even only 1 mm away from bottom of the barrel. I'm not trying to be sexist, but guys really do have it harder. Society makes it a norm for the male to approach the female
  2. I wouldn't be embarrassed at all. I think it would be great for .org members to meet other ones. I wouldn't mind making a new friend or two who understands what it feels like to deal with acne. Then it's not so awkward like with other friends who have never dealt with fear of social places due to acne. You tell them you want to stay inside or go somewhere with few people and they think your weird. Having a friend who understands that, who you can support and be supported by, would be good for ev
  3. I would have to say that the topic of "playing games" in my life is quite the complicated one. I didn't start playing games because of acne, although I do think that if I had acne I would stay inside. Staying inside would make me prone to possibly playing a game. But as of recently, I have given up all MMO's. All that remain are console games which for some reason I can resist the temptation to play very easily. My previous gaming "addiction" or "lifestyle" could be partially summed up in terms
  4. That's great news about Whole Foods and their products. I will definitely have to go and check their stuff out. Just today I used Crest toothpaste with SLS in it, and my gums bled like they had been doing recently. Funny thing is, the past two or three times when I brushed my teeth in the morning with just water, after not brushing before I went to bed, I didn't bleed. My teeth may not be the best, but I was pretty sure that they weren't so bad as to just bleed whenever touched. I was surprised
  5. Sodium lauryl sulphate is a potential irritant, and guess what? Its in your shampoo, face wash, and hand soap probably! Go check the label right now! I just found out it's in Cetaphil's cleanser. And I think it explains why I have been getting dermatitis around my neck area. I used Dan's suggestion of making my face wash double as my shaving lather. The thing is, getting in those tough spots of the neck is difficult and a little cutting or top layer of skin shaving is bound to happen. Then comb
  6. What were things like when you fist started having acne? When you started fighting your acne? When you came to this board? What are things like now? And last but not least, how has your life changed? I first started having acne in high school. A typical day for me was counting how many pimples I had, trying to pop one or two, and feeling like crap most of the time. I started fighting acne much later than I should have, since my parents were no help. I tried many over the counter products and h
  7. Chess is a great game of skill. If only I were better... = /

    1. I tried using clindamycin phosphate 1% topically, I also got small red bumps. During this time I was washing with cetaphil and using BP when when I was not applying clindamycin.

    3. I don't really like american comics. I prefer japanese manga or anime (animated manga).
    4. That video is lame. I don't deny the beyond normal or paranormal, but this video is fake or crappy evidence at best. I have had my own encounters with unknown forces a few times, and often it seems as though something is giving me a message or telling me something. Oh, and don't mess with stuff your not willing to respect, and don't call on demons and stuff like that. You will probably get more than you bargained for. Better to call for some good spirit of force.
    5. All human body systems have signs of health and signs of ill-health. Clear skin is often a sign of good health, or we perceive it to be anyways. I would guess that somehow acne is related to the health of the body overall, or the systems which directly function with the skin and its related processes.
    6. I'd wait to see some reviews before buying something like that for nearly 200$.
    7. Okay, so I was thinking about shopping and then I came on the idea of what peoples images are and how this relates to your clothing style. So these are some questions I am asking myself, and I was wondering what other people thought: Do you start with an image and then the clothes reflect that, or do you start with clothes that reflect an image you want to have? What sort of images and clothing styles are there? How are they the same or different? List some stores/brands that you think fit i
