Trying to clear up my skin!!! LOL!<br />Singing, shopping, working out, etc...
  1. Hello All! I am preparing to start my 2nd round of Accutane. The first round cleared me up after about a month and a half; and I have never been so clear in my life! But then, about 2 months after I completed my first course; my skin went right back to broken out. Anyone want to share their experience on how their second round of Accutane went? Also- I am getting married in May 2009 (much of the reason I decided to go back on Tane) and there are some other things I'd like to do before my weddi
  2. Wow! That makes up my mind- not taking Alli. Or any other diet pill right now, for that matter. I don't want to risk screwing up my blood work and the possibility of going off Accutane! On another note, does anyone have any advice for what to do for initial break outs? I am having a horrible one right now... But thhe skin on my face where I am not broken out is extremely dry, so I don't know what to do! Steroids??? For the initial break out? BUMP!

  4. I just thought of something: Everyone is saying that accutane needs fat to work. Doesn't that mean that if I lose weight, whether it is on my own or with the use of a diet pill; that accutane will be less effective for me? If I do an hour of cardio every day in the hopes of burning fat, wouldn't that have the same effect on accutane as taking a diet pill?
  5. No. Accutane is fat soluble and thus requires fat for absorption. If you have insufficient fat because it all gets pooped out immediately (or leaked out as the case may be), you will have less effect from the Accutane. Someone I know tried it. She had to stop since she had to actually wear adult diapers one day... Not exactly the smartest thing to take while you're on Accutane. Or unless you are seriously overweight. The website does not have any clinical pharmacology evidence showing how
  6. I am going to bump this because I want to know if Accutane has any effect on people who are fair complected and DON'T tan easily. Can they tan more easily after taking accutane? Bump.
  7. Does anyone know anything about taking diet pills while on Accutane? I hear a lot on these message boards about not taking multi vitamins, so I wasn't sure. The diet pill I want to take is called Alli, and it is Doctor recommended. It actually calls for you to take a multi vitamin before bed, though, so I am not sure if that would conflict with the Accutane or not.
  8. Does anyone know if Accutane can cause your skin to tan more easily from the sun? I have a friend who was on it and swears she tans more easily now than she did before her course of Accutane. She said she was really fair (like me) and barely got anything from the sun, and now she gets dark fast. Anyone else know more?
  9. umm.... refresh my memory, what's exactly your situation, pimples or cystic acne... I don't remember and am kinda too tired to read through everything again :/ sorry... ummm if you have to wait the next 30 days, I'd say.... take the green tea capsules....if anything it'll still help clear you up a bit, and if anything else...I think it helps the accutane work a lot better...lol ummmmm as for anything else, I'd say to try and build up ur immune system, because its gonna deteriorate a bit. Mine
