  1. Hi During the past year, there was a long period where my skin was perfectly fine. Relatively clear, smooth, and acne free through the use of mild cleaners and BP. It seems like either the BP has lost its effect, or I have another problem. I notice that I have a lot of these small, flesh colored bumps, typically more isolated on one side of my face than the other. Some of them have a small black dot if you look really upclose in the mirror (nothing that a regular camera can capture), kind of
  2. Have anybody had experiences, good or bad, with silcone injections in this area? Thanks!
  3. I am of Asian descent. Had these chicken pox scars for a long time. Pictures show these scars very clearly. They are not the clearest, but they are exactly what you would appear to the naked eye with a mirror under the sunlight. I am in NYC so any opinions on a good doctor would be appreciated. How many sessions would I need if I choose Fraxel re store? I only have a month before university starts so I don't know whether I should start now. Would I benefit from this type of treatment? Wh
  4. Hi Ive tried the cetaphil cleanser today and it was great--never knew they had a product like this. It felt very nice on the skin afterwards. Are there any other good recommendations to get rid of those little bumps? I have a bump of them and they seem to be the only problems right now(sometimes when they get red it is noticeable), thanks!
  5. I have decided to work out and have a pretty fast metabolism, so I usually try to maintain a healthy diet in addition to a lot of protein. However, I dont think dairy is really that good for my skin, but I use to drink milk quite often and eat yogurts and cottage cheese. What are some other good protein sources besides meat(fish, chicken, beef)?
  6. Hey. I notice that what my skin's problem is that there are little small bumps, a lot of them. They are visible at all in the morning(thus the smooth skin appearance) but towards the end of the day they are noticable, especially up close when I puff out the checks. Also, my skin does appear more red. Ive used BP but it doesnt really seem to get these bumps away(and there are a lot!) What are these called? I really need to find a way to get rid of them because they have been like this for a very
  7. Do you think washing could be the problem? Like most people I wash my face first thing in the morning and it usually gets worse from there. I will try to limit washes and see what happens but how do I get oil or dirt from my face during the day? I also forgot to mention that I used apple cider vinegar, usually 2 times and only during the day. Also, I dont touch my face with my hands anymore(or at least I dont think I do anymore consciously). About the BP, I do leave it on a night. I meant to
  8. Hi, Usually when I wake up in the morning my skin is almost completely clear, but it gets progressively worse throughout the day. I usually wash it about 3-4 times a day with water and 2 times with a cleanser. At night I usually apply some BP and wash it off(however, I do not know if it is actually working, because my skin looks the same even if I did not apply it the night before). In either situaition, my skin always turn terrible throughout the day, and is usually the worse towards evenings
  9. These are the best pics I could get and I think they show the appearance of the scars accurately to the naked eye. I really am not sure if the exfoliation method will work for my case as Ive had these for 17 years. Also, I have sensitive skin and a lot of times I will get a rash or acne if it gets irritated (even washing with a washcloth too often will cause acne to break out). Thanks for the advice and I will keep them in mind. Thanks!
  10. Are there any affordable laser treatments that will reduce the appeareance of these scars without much downtime(I heard some, like the med lite c laser only has 1 hour 'recovery' time). I know I probably wont eliminate them completely, but am hoping there are feasible options to improve them. Thanks.
  11. How would you best classify these scars(rolling, mild-severe range, possible treatments, etc)? Also, how deep would I classify them so I can describe them to prospective doctors over the phone? Pictures are taken under pure sunlight, indoors. My acne cleared up a bit so it is easier to directly see the scars. Please let me know. I can live with them if I have to, because Ive had them for as long as I've known. I would much prefer to live with them than take a big risk in doing risky procedure
  12. I wouldn't waste my time and money on Mederma. Mederma is for hypertrophic (raised) scars and will do nothing for your red marks or atrophic (indented) scarring. Same with silicone sheets..they are for raised scars too. See a plastic surgeon or dermatological surgeon. The only way to get rid of chicken pock scars is with excision. I tried everything listed on this board with no success..The only thing that worked for me was excision. I had many excisions, the price depends on if the surgeo
  13. My acne goes from okay to worse on a day to day basis. What it is is not really inflamation (although it does happen and I dread it), but a lot of small acne in its early stages(it feels bumpy as I run my hands over it). I dont know the specific name of it. What causes these and how can I get rid of them forever? They always come back, and sometimes if I am real careful they can become less visible or go away within 2 days, but they always come back and sometimes they get inflammed and become
