  1. AbsorbAid is a good brand in the US. You can get lots of other brands at health food stores.
  2. I'm a woman, and I don't shave my face, but when I shave my more...um...sensitive areas, I find it helps to exfoliate before and after shaving. This gets the dead skin cells off, and you're far less likely to get razor burn. That, and use a very sharp razor. After exfoliating, dry thoroughly and apply (unscented) lotion.
  3. Do you want to get rid of your freckles? Why? I love freckles!
  4. I just said this in another thread, but I just recently fell in love with Paula's Choice Hydrating Treatment Cream. My skin has been terribly dry lately, and this is the only thing that's worked for me. If you call the number on their website (www.paulaschoice.com), they'll send you free samples of any of their skin care. I just got my sample a few days ago, and I'm going to order some soon. You need very little of it for your face, so the packet should last a week or so.
  5. I just got a new moisturizer that's amazing. It's Hydrating Treatment Cream by Paula's Choice. My skin has been so dry that I haven't wanted to go outside. For one, the wind aggravates it, and for another, it's embarrassing. I had tried using drug store moisturizers and high end moisturizers. I called PC to ask for a sample, and it came a couple days later. The first time I used it I noticed a difference in the moisture in my skin. The stuff is amazing.
  6. Ibuprofen does help with inflammation, but I don't know if it would help with acne. Tylenol is not Ibuprofen though. Advil and Motrin are.
  7. CoverGirl Aquasmooth foundation is very nice. It costs around $7.00 for a package and has great coverage. It feels good and looks natural. I like it more than any expensive liquid-to-powder foundation I've tried. I also just tried Bare Minerals, which was also nice. I like the way the CoverGirl feels more though. It's water based, so it feels cooling when you put it on. It's a lot faster and easier to apply too.
  8. I've heard that Carmex will dry your lips out if you use if for a while. I LOVE Trader Joe's lip balm. If you live near a Trader Joe's store, I highly recommend you try it. They come in packs of 3 (sticks) for around 3 bucks! It's very subtly flavored and works very well. I also love Aveda Lip Saver, but it's expensive - $7.50 per tube, so I only buy it once in a while.
  9. I got a free sample of Regenerist from Olay's website, but I haven't tried it yet. I don't know if it's still valid, but check out http://www.samples.aohosting.net/campaign/.../?src=regensite to see if you can still get it.
  10. Some think that dairy can contribute to acne. My chiropractor says it's mucus-producing, and he stays away from it. I don't eat a lot of dairy, but I don't avoid it either.
